I don't know about reporters, but the DC US Attorney has publicly ensured fElon that anyone who tries to interfere with him or his team will be prosecuted. fElon has already sent him a referral and he's opened up a criminal inquiry.

They’ve proven that they never really cared about things such as weaponization, lawfare, free speech, political bias of officials etc.
