Not that this is a surprise to anyone, but a recent violent crackdown of protesters in the southern city of Dongzhou has been covered up by the Chinese government. Little mention of the incident has surfaced in any publication outside of Guangdong and keywords have been surpressed in search engines.

A human rights group has also insisted on an independent investigation, which the government has refused. While the villagers claim more were killed than have been reported in China, the full toll will likely never be known.

The government cover-up of its crimes in Dongzhou is growing more pervasive. It is even bribing people now to stick with the government approved story and isn't allowing people to visit hospitals where the wounded are supposedly being treated or allowing family members to retrive the bodies of the dead.

And to think of it, every time you buy something made in China, you are supporting this kind of barbarity!
