Special counsel Robert Mueller has looked into the presence of several Ukrainian officials at President Trump's inauguration, The New York Times reported Thursday.

The news outlet reported that federal prosecutors have interviewed witnesses about how the Ukrainians gained access to inaugural events and what they discussed during meetings while in the U.S.
===============================================
A lot of illegal contributions helped these guys get access to Trump & others during the inauguration - for what purpose? Mueller is doing a thorough job of turning over the rocks that the Trump Crime Family is hiding under.

Trump Inaugural Fund and Super PAC Said to Be Scrutinized for Illegal Foreign Donations

WASHINGTON — Federal prosecutors are examining whether foreigners illegally funneled donations to President Trump’s inaugural committee and a pro-Trump super PAC in hopes of buying influence over American policy, according to people familiar with the inquiry.

The inquiry focuses on whether people from Middle Eastern nations — including Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates — used straw donors to disguise their donations to the two funds. Federal law prohibits foreign contributions to federal campaigns, political action committees and inaugural funds.

From the very first day of the Trump administration (i.e. inaugurration day 2017) it's been apparent to anyone with the ability to reason objectively that this administration that was rotten to the core. I actually remember news accounts at that time that raised questions about the very issue raised in the OP. So it's no surprise to me to see that the Mueller team is investigating it.

Anyone who remains dismissive of ALL of the Russian/Putin connections to the Trump campaign/administration...after all that has been revealed over the last few years (including the election campaign)...is, honestly, worthy of having his/her patriotism and/or psychological status questioned.

No joke.

But, it's also worth remembering that 80% of all conservatives still supported Nixon (and expressed disbelief about the Watergate scandal), right up until 2 weeks before his resignation. So, this sort of delusionalism is just part of the conservative mentality. It's hardwired in the rightwing brain.

That's funny. Obama's inaugural fund took foreign donations.

Again you dissemble.

Please document for us the secret donations and foreign financing funneled to the Obama campaign from hostile enemies of the U.S.

Please document for us the instances of collusion and coordination between the Obama campaign and Russia, Putin, or Kremlin spies/associates.

Obama's campaign was flagged in post-election audits for a couple of FEC violations. They acknowledged the errors and paid their fines. There is, thus, no comparison between them and the Trump traitors and puppets who conspired with the Russians to rig the 2016 election in favor of their candidate.

What does that have to do with the OP?

Read it again. Mueller is probing foreign contributions to the inaugural campaign fund. Millions of $$$. most still unaccounted for, for rich Ukranians to buy access to Trump & his cronies. That's against Federal law.

Stop lying, please. I already referenced the Albanian donor issue in my previous post. That was no scandal. it was an FEC camapign violation that was unintentional, discovered on audit, acknowledged by the obama campaign...and the fine was paid. And it certainly wasn't an example of Obama working with an enemy of the U.S.

Show us the donors on OpenSecrets from a hostile foreign governments like Russia (like the Trump campaign).

Show us the documentation linking Obama to Russian spies (like the Trump team).

Show us the documentation of Obama's campaign conspiring with the Russians (like Team Trump).

Re-read my questions, and get back to me.

But please stop pretending to be dumb about this.

Irrelevant. The law says "foreigners".

The OP is about Trump, not Obama. Why are you changing the subject?

Irrelevant. The law says "foreigners".

Totally relevant, and you have been busted.

At this point, it's clear to me that you KNOW your Dear Leader obviously is guilty of having some very shady dealings and associations with the Russians. Everything else you're doing is here is just deflection and dissembling.

Shuckin' and jivin'....duckin' and dodgin'....that's what this is from you. lol

It's all you have left. You are, proverbially speaking, trying to defend your Dear Leader (and your own arguments) with spit-balls and rubber bands...and it's a pathetic (though oddly satisfying) sight to behold.

The good news is that I now know that you are not really one of those delusional, empty-headed, brainwashed ignorant Trumpsters.

You're just a blind ideologue.

The OP is about Trump, not Obama. Why are you changing the subject?

The OP is about foreign donations to inaugural committees.

In the future, maybe you should do some research to make sure Obama didn't do the exact same ****, before declaring President Trump guilty.

If Trump did he should pay the fine the way previous administrations did. Holding him to a different standard is BS
