So; even if he turns it into a right wing forum, aren't there plenty of left wing forums to balance things?

Even if all the forums were right wing, somewhere somehow independents and lefties would be hiding behind closed doors and laughing at "American's" plight. He can never stop the laughter. He knows that and he spews dirty fascism anyway.

It's just the opposite, he bought Twitter so conservatives would get their voices back.
The reality is, he wasn't being untruthful. Now that Musk has total control of Twitter, who knows what he'll do. This much I know for sure. He will use his influence to make sure no one ever raises his taxes. Essentially the same thing that Ari said, just in different words.

The left is distraught over Musk taking over Twitter because it lessens their ability to create the original narrative without push back. Remember Russia Russia Russia? How different it would have been if the discussion was not ruled by left leaning news sites? Once a narrative has spread round the world it is difficult to unring the bell. Hopefully Musk actually does what he claims. Allow people to decide what is disinformation for themselves with all voices allowed to be heard. Think the Russia hoax was real? Fine. Think it was a set up? Fine. Speak your mind and point out why. Debate is a good thing. Banning or shadow banning is not free speech even if you disagree with the speech.
My point is you can't go back in time and erase what has become accepted truth, although it may never have been true. Call out disinformation as you see it, not 5 years down the line.
