Comcast is currently pursuing a spin-off of its cable properties, including MSNBC and CNBC.

It's also amusing that Robert Murdoch's NYPost chooses to gloat over his Fox News' rival.
 
Comcast, in general, is restructuring. Including breaking off cable broadcast networks from its overall umbrella. Focusing more on streaming vs. cable - as the cable market is shrinking while the streaming market is growing as more and more Americans move towards streaming vs. traditional cable offerings.

Maddow’s next contract will have different terms and be for $25M vs. $30M…but have additional contracting for streaming as a separate (and additional) compensation.

Seems like the old adage of "Go woke, go broke" still holds true. Let's hope that when Musk or Trump buys MSNBC they put Tucker Carlson on again. And Dan Bongino. I think Candace Owens should have a slot too. And wouldn't it be great to have Trump on once a week doing something like at his rallies? 3 non-stop hours of Trump getting his message out. To remain fair and unbiased, they can put The View on at 3am.

Comcast is ditching MSNBC because cable broadcast channels is a shrinking demographic and profit center.

Musk has the money to play with, so let him buy it if he wants. He wasted plenty on Twitter and overpaid for it. Let him overpay for MSNBC.

Other than sports or tuning in for particular news events? I can’t say I know anyone under the age of 50 that even watches cable regularly.

The left usually have multiple psychological issues and for them the propaganda is better than reality. The DNC exploits this and offers them a religious experience where only the democrats can save them and the republicans are evil and want to kill them. Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid and the witches of The View are high priestesses. These priestesses tell the flock that Trump is the devil and everyone outside of the flock is in a Trump cult. Note to HS seniors thinking about career paths: Psychology will definitely surpass Gender Studies as the most important field of study, and there will be a massive shortage of psychologists to talk these leftists out of eventually drinking the DNC Kool-Aid.
