That would seem to be less controversial than a transgender Ms. Universe since being president has nothing to do with gender or sex whereas Ms Universe does a little.

Beauty pageants or anything that revolves around the female body we can't do anymore.

Beautiful people (male or female) should be celebrated.

Most human beings are, well, not too attractive. So their envy is forcing society to dumb down beauty contests (e.g., Miss America will no longer wear a swimming suit).

And some homophobes are envious that many gay men, unlike many of those homophobes, try to stay slender and well-dressed.

We should have more competitions like that. Ms, Mrs, Mr, (a missing category, if I may...young hunks, and people who look like themselves, no enhancements allowed) LGBT, and I won't watch any of them.
On a positive note, I think that, when they include transgender, it seems that judging half naked bodies can't be as sexists as it may appear.

Does anyone even bother with those pageants anymore? I would think since the advent of 24/7 access to free porn, the titillation providing pageant industry would have moved on---into porn.

I won't watch any of them either. But it seems to me that there's a slightly larger issue here.

Recently, there has been a spate of transgender women, i.e. biological males in various points of their transition to female gender, who have won competitions intended for women.

I'm not seeing this as fair, as from the biological standpoint that the large majority of biological males have greater upper body strength and endurance giving such competitors what I see as an unfair advantage.

If the trans community wishes to compete in such events, fine, but I'd like to see such competitions give all their competitors equal opportunity and equal advantages. Perhaps a trans category of competitors might be most appropriate? Kinda hard to deny the science based biological realities that I've mentioned.

I'm hoping that transgenders are permitted into the Olympics. Women will be pushed out altogether in favor of the recently converted. A triumph of new age justice!

Why is there a seperate atheltic class for each gender, anyway?

Should women be moved into the Special Olympics so they can compete? The fastest women on the planet all time in all of history isn't even in the top ten fastest overall.

As far as running for President, why not? Are trans folks barred from any office by law? From what I've seen, self serving dishonesty is not limited to one gender or the other.

Seems like everyone, regardless of gender, is equally qualified to be an office holder.

"Bias towards pretty people is lookism! Dont do That!" is where we are now. People are more and more slobs as a result.
