and Popol Vuh's soundtrack for Aguirre, Der Zorn Gottes

Blues Brothers
The Big Chill

I cannot remember the big chill at all

last of the mohicans was probably my favorite

the ones I have chosen were composed for the movie specifically. some great soundtracks used existing tunes.

here's another

Lisa Gerrard and Hans Zimmer from Gladiator

David Bowie did a version of PUTTING OUT FIRE WITH GASOLINE for CAT PEOPLE

wonderful tune

many movies have used existing songs for their soundtracks

One of Steven Seagal's lesser known films "The Fire Down Below" used this wonderful tune for the Film credits.

Risky Business gave Bob Seger's Career a boost

Forrest Gump - It covers a very large portion of our history.

That reminds me, Good Morning Vietnam had a great soundtrack too.

Everybody knows Ennio Morricone for the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, but I've always thought he was at his best in The Mission. Some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard.

One of the movies with the best scores ever IMHO:

The original scene:

Gloria.....Van Morrison and The Siege of Firebase Gloria.

Then another I like is The End by Jim Morrison and the Doors.

Shirley Bassey.....Goldfinger - James Bond Soundtrack.

I love this entire soundtrack, but I love this one the most. Love how it builds up, then pays off at 7:17.

Who knew Clint Eastwood was an accomplished pianist and composer?

Closing theme from Hereafter with Matt Damon.
