So he got out of the death penalty.

I sorta hoped he would get life in prison and that what happened to Jeffrey Dahmer will happen to Moussaoui. Payback is hell sometimes.

I agree with you Aps, but another part of me thinks... If he wanted to go to Valhalla so bad... send him...

I think we all saw this coming.

Considering how long the jury was deliberating, I certainly figured they weren't going to come back with death...

I wonder what their reasoning was? I imagine some of them will get book deals...

reagan, I think he will go to Valhalla. His testimony on the stand about how he loved 9-11 and watching people suffer is his death sentence. Jeffrey Dahmer was unsupervised for 30 minutes with other prisoners and ka-pow--one of them killed him.

I just hope someone puts some bacon in his pocket before they finish the job, while's he still conscious....

This jury has lost its mind.

I say the guy that kills him in prison (I truly hope this happens, and soon) should get time off for good behavior, and possibly even a full pardon.

What if the person who kills him is a serial rapist/murderer? Would you let that slime out?

Taters? Why not lima beans? 'Tis good for yer elth!

Moussaoui, as he was led from the courtroom after the 15-minute hearing, said: "America, you lost. ... I won." He clapped his hands as he was escorted away.

Piece of ****.

I'm not too bothered by it though. He's not doing much either way, and as it looks increasingly like he was just a fringe wacko in the group, there's no risk of him becoming a rallying point or writing his own version of Mein Kampf while in jail.

Plus, he'll be real popular in there.

"Hey boy....you sure got a purdy mouth...."

I just don't like the idea of having a prisoner in which could be reason for American hostages to be taken at a later date. This was popular in the 70s & 80s for terror groups.

If he were that kind of prisoner, that'd be one thing. All indications point that he's an idiot who wasnt really central to the plot.

And do you think people would negotiate for him? We have infinitely more important people in custody. Khalid Shaikh Mohammed?

Which come close to the point that I want to make. We have him and two others in custody. We can't prosecute them, because then out "torture secrets" would come out.

But back on topic..........from what I understand, there is a "special cell" that he will be kept in. 4 walls, no windows, a slot for food.

On a total side note....I'm glad I came here. All the other forums are screaming kill him......this is what the death penalty is for! He's just a two bit player, not worth it. While I would also agree that death would have been an acceptable option, the man truly is crazy. IMO

He'll never be in contact with another prisoner. Every minute he is allowed to live is one too many.

He had a bad childhood. He didn't make friends easily.

He didn't physically kill anyone, so why give him the death penalty? I say let him rot in his own filth!

He could have helped to stop it, he did not.

Amazing how they held him responsible for the buildings coming down but not the people killed. Bizzar.

And how long before a leftist group starts complaining how we are torturing him by keeping him in isolation. How cruel it is he doesn't have a computer. How evil we are because he can't have visitors. And on and on.

I guess you're incapable of NOT making an issue partisan, huh, Stinger?

He is no longer a threat....and he is not a Martyr. Sounds like a win/win to me.

thats just offensive...

my local news station said that when he was convicted and given life in prison he simply stood up, smiled ,and said "America you have lost and I have won" before he was escorted out....

...ah...but, you're assuming these folks think rationally...I beg to differ...
