Mitt Romney quoted a line from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid when asked about the behavior of republican representatives MTG and Paul Gosar.

Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar spoke at the America First Political Action Committee's conference, held in Orlando, Florida and organized by Nick Fuentes — who has been deemed a "white supremacist" by the Justice Department.

Fuentes told the crowd that the group's "secret sauce" was "young, white men," urging the crowd to give a round of applause for Russia before the crowd started chanting "Putin, Putin!

Mitt needs to look in the mirror.

Were either of the representatives said to have joined in to the chanting. What was the message they delivered to the gathering?

The organizer of the gathering has been deemed a white supremacist by the Justice Department. White supremacists believe that white people are a superior race. White supremacists are the US's greatest domestic terror threat.

It doesn't matter if MTG and Gosar chanted or not. They shouldn't have been there. The company you keep and all that.

MTG walks on to stage immediately following chants in approval of Russia and a speech about the supremacy of white men, and you're trying to spin it?

You must hang out with a lot of nazis, so you think it's normal.

You mean the actually successful businessman

Great post, chief
Mitt is not a leader of men. Nor has ever he been. TBH he was not that good a businessman. He is and always will be a poser bought and sold by the highest bidder.

Don't like Mitt, but he's clearly right.

Just like I don't like McConnell, who was still right to say, "We saw it happen. It was a violent insurrection."

Republican politicians should be celebrated rather than punished on those rare moments when they tell the truth.

Mitt needs to look in the mirror.

Oh yes, totally agree! He needs to look in a mirror. What do you think he will see when he does?

Will he see a man who confuses the Gestapo with cold tomato soup? A man who believes Jewish space lasers exist? A man who fondled the crotch of a cardboard cutout of a politician? A man who attends an event hosted by a white nationalist and then pretends he doesn't know who the white nationalist is? A man whose own siblings despise him so much that they pay for ads to encourage people to vote for his opponent?

Not sure about that, but he will see a man who dares not toe the party line- as stupid as that party line tends to be. And that is enough to make him a pariah amongst the idiots on the right. Despite the fact he was their god in 2012.

While I voted for Obama in 2012, had you told me a vote for Romney means he wins, then runs as an incumbent in 2016 and we never have to have Trump at all, I would have taken that deal in a heart beat.

ah, but the Republican base (the real issue with America) will vote for those morons en masse as long as they support white supremacy or promise to keep the brown Mexicans out.

With respect, Parents who ask questions at school board meetings regarding topics being taught to the children are labeled as "domestic terrorists" by the Department of Just Us.

What labels applied by our politically directed State Police to specific groups indicates only which groups they feel need to be suppressed. The actual actions and goals of those groups is independent from the labels attached.

That said, it is possible that the labels are accurate. However, it is not wise to assume they are accurate.

Again, what was the message delivered by the representatives and were they participants in the chanting that you find to be offensive?

Everyone should be looking on the bright side of this.

Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar are no longer hiding that they are racist white nationalists, which tells you what to think about their supporters and enablers.

I'm not trying to spin anything. I'm asking what the actual facts of the matter might be.

It is YOU who is spinning.
