Video shows the initial interaction with Floyd, progresses through getting Floyd out of his car and the attempt to get him into the squad then it shows Floyd being taken to the ground.
This is why there were riots not just across America but across the globe.
White people aren't remotely this terrified by a traffic stop. I wonder why that is. Oh, that's right, we don't tend to die when it happens.
I do not support the actions of the law enforcement officers regarding this incident. The tapes released are not the full tapes. imo, excessive force was used.
That said, one thing that has bothered me is Floyd claiming to be claustrophobic when about to be placed in the back of a police car. Yet he was sitting in a car when first encountered by the LEO's. He wasn't bothered sitting it that car.

Because they're not high on meth and fentanyl?

Please explain (in specifics and with proper statistics) how black people "tend" to die during traffic stops.
What percentage of black people are illegally killed during traffic stops?
Do you have any recent articles about a black man being murdered by police during a traffic stop?

100% of blacks that are engaged by police either have died or will die...eventually. That's a statistical fact and, apparently, is where the user you are engaging is coming from.
Boy, my post sure stirred up the Stormfronters here.
I support everybody but knee on neck guy, but to respond to your other point, it is the same reason that a lot of people won't wear COVID face masks. Phobias are not rational. Some people for whatever reason---often past trauma or PTSD--have a thing about anything that remotely resembles restraint. In addition, police vehicles often suck up the already limited back seat space for obvious reasons. All the framework etc for the bars and dividers and such are less space in the back so that the officers in the front aren't cramped up.
That they weren't manhandling the passenger still leads me to believe there was more to this than just "racism"

The back seat of a police car is very roomy believe it or not, just uncomfortable often being hard plastic.
But look at the video, the guy was whacked out of his mind, you can tell the police knew it, when the one drew a gun out when he refused to put both hands up. That is a common tactic because people whacked out on meth, coke, crack, pcp etc are void of logic and reason, and can turn on someone for no reason at all, hence why they had a gun drawn when he would not cooperate.
Some have mentioned fentanyl but his response does not match that, it is a depressant floyds actions looked like large amounts of crack cocaine or methamphetamine, fentanyl in smaller doses would add to the insanity but in larger doses would have acted counter and killed him or nearly paralyze him.
Our local police cars are not roomy at all. At 6 foot I find them uncomfortable to ride in. Haven't been in the back of one if the SUV's yet though as they are just now switching over. I wasn't cuffed and under arrest anytime I have been in the back of the cars so I can imagine that people who are are even more uncomfortable. Ours have a metal plate below the lexan to protect the cops from being stabbed or shot through the car seat. It is more or less perpendicular so you are left with hardly any room for your knees, feet.
So in the first 30 seconds a gun is already aimed at Floyd. Are you sure you wanted to share this video?
I only sat in the back of one, which was a chevy cobalt police car. I drive them all the time though for repairs and will admit the front seat is much better.
If people want to know what happened they should watch it.
No, he as full,of it. spreading the hateful anti cop lies. The stats do not support his implied claim. Please explain (in specifics and with proper statistics) how black people "tend" to die during traffic stops.
