If there were a Big bang, the parts of it that became stars and planets would have exploded in all different directions in straight lines from the source, like all explosions do, especially in a vacuum with no resistance, and there'd be no orbits like our planets. The remaining cosmos wouldn't be moving away from us (earth) as the red shift indicates that it does, unless we are considered to be the epicenter.
