Not being able to see the numbers of posts and likes people have makes it easier to focus on the quality rather than quantity of discussion.
Not disagreeing, but it's still easier to judge a post's quality when the numbers aren't there to distract. Those are not quality posts, sorry.
Are you speaking for yourself or all of us?Not disagreeing, but it's still easier to judge a post's quality when the numbers aren't there to distract.
This is a feedback thread. I'm giving feedback. Are you speaking for yourself or all of us?
The numbers come off like a scoreboard. They encourage you to read with a sense of dark empathy where people are worried about the ratio between posts and likes. For you or all of us? I don't find the numbers distracting at all.
They encourage me to do no such thing. I feel what I feel regardless of what others feel. The numbers come off like a scoreboard. They encourage you to read with a sense of dark empathy where people are worried about the ratio between posts and likes.
It's not about you as a specific reader. They encourage me to do no such thing. I feel what I feel regardless of what others feel.
Speaking for myself...as I'm sure you are speaking for yourself...I rarely look at the number of posts or likes. Not even my own. I don't care about quantity.View attachment 67368033

Ok for you but I don't have the fascination with the numbers you apparently do. Heck a lot of the time I don't even read more than the person's username. It's not about you as a specific reader.
It's about realizing the numbers are displayed to all readers, so there's a chance other readers will consider them as having value. Therefore, the chance of that value has to be accounted for.
