Pitchers and Catchers report on Valentine’s Day.
WBC should be exciting in March.
We should expect a better brand of ball this year.

Correa is going back to the Twins.

New schedule with all teams playing each other.
46 inter-league; 14 teams x 3 games & 1 team x 4) games.
52 division games (13 games x 4t eams)

64 same league games, still unbalanced.
(4 teams x 7 games and 6 teams x 6 games)

Correa helps but the Twins need Byron Buxton to stay healthy for them to be a contender.

Well, there's your first stone-cold mortal lock of 2023...

Correa will have at least one game-winning hit against the Mets.

Another...

Segura will have at least one game-winning hit against the Phils.

Agreed on Buxton.
I’m not impressed with their SP, nor the CHW.

I think we’ll hear even more of each of the five SPs having the same piggyback pitcher.

Robot umpires coming to AAA this year.

I can't wait...
I stumbled upon that link in #6.
Pretty concise way to measure SPs.

The WBC should be exciting in March. In the past, some teams have resisted having their players involved.

Pretty sure I’ll get the out-of-market package from directv.

Baseball package is a decent price on DirectTv...

I never got it..

Sny.. YES... TBS.. Dofu... I get plenty of baseball...

So, which team will take the PR hit and sign Trevor Bauer?

He's a talented pitcher and many teams could use him.

Might depend how much more MLB owners and players know about all of Trevor's escapades.

Nothing chargeable gives a team some cover but cumulative evidence of him being at the very least unbalanced and at worst a predator could be weigh more than his value to a team.

The Mets and NL batting champion Jeff McNeil have agreed on a four-year, $50 million contract extension, a source told MLB.com's Anthony DiComo. The deal includes a fifth-year club option that could take the value to $63.75 million.

From what I've been reading, Kodai Senga has been working hard and is looking "nothing short of spectacular." Mets pitching rotation looks loaded this season. Scherzer, Verlander, Senga, Quintana, Carrasco, Pedersen, Megill... Should be a fun summer in Queens.

Uncle Steve plans to drop $7 million on a Mets Super Bowl ad. That's our owner. :p

P’s and C’s report two days after the Super Bowl.
Bone-chill real-feel today in northern Illinois.
Looking at an Arizona spring training driving trip.

I’ll be in Mesa in a couple weeks to check on the young Cubs.

Will miss games, though, but those have become overpriced and crowded- not like it used to be.

Below zero here by the end of the week...

We can't complain though, we've had a mild winter so far...
