Oh...there you go with the hyperbole and sarcasm again.
You lost it four years ago. Sour grapes! He knows how to make a PowerPoint presentation?
Mitt Romney gives a brutal PowerPoint critique of Obama’s foreign policy - The Washington Post
Your Clinton, Obama derangement Syndrome is sincerely clouding your feeble judgement, Who invaded Iraq in 2003???? I'll give you a hint he's a drunk Texan..
One last time Bushie had the WH, and congress he said let's go!! He's the one that beat invaded not the Clinton's...
Obama was in office 6 Full years after Bush invaded and 2 years before the drunk signed the Sofa treaty yet its Obama's Failure, nice try but as usual Fail...
Greetings, Erik. :2wave:
Well said! People just don't seem as happy today as they used to be in years past, and I blame that mostly on "chaos overload." We had a known enemy in WW2, and we dealt with it and won - how many wars are we fighting today and slowly losing to savages like ISIS - and I don't want to hear that they're not really "wars," because they sure are, and it's costing millions of dollars in the process, which we can ill afford! Then there's Russia and China doing their best to keep us on edge, which just adds to the chaos! Are we wrong in defending our allies in Ukraine and the South China Sea? I don't think so but it is also going to keep us occupied while our infrastructure slowly continues to crumble at home from lack of money. Disgusting!
The civil war and the great depression were not external threats.True, but weren't those mostly external threats and challenges? This is from within, assaulting the soft underbelly of the interior and the people's very spirit.
I guess we'll see if the nation can pull itself from this or not.
True. Didn't think of those. The civil war and the great depression were not external threats.
The American Society of Civil Engineers which presents occasional report cards on the nations infrastructure gave us a "D" on all 12 categories of our nations infrastructure and said that 3.6 Trillion needs to be spent by 2020!! We've spent that much money in the last dozen years chasing two bit dictators out of the Middle East while creating more trouble then there was before.
2013 Report Card for America's Infrastructure
A perfect example of long and how poorly, and how much money (which should have gone to infrastructure but was siphoned off for other spending), the politicians have done.
Some sort of governance controls legislation needs to be put into place to prevent the politicians from ****ing around with the infrastructure money.
The problem with that is the same people who are ****ing around with the infrastructure money are the ones who would have to pass the legislation against doing it.
And there in lies probably one of the weak points in this form of government, but not certain which other form of government wouldn't have this, or probably much worse, problems. Better to stick with this one, I think.

I think that it would be in line with Jefferson's (I think it he) comment that we'd need a revolution every twenty years, to say that ALL incumbents should be swept out, all fresh blood knowing that as soon as they become the stale blood, they'll get what the last bunch got. But what unifying voice would lead the charge against the partisans, on both sides, who exist in overwhelming numbers, that would stand in the way of it?
**** Romney, his old ass is still pissed he lost 4 years ago, very fortunately He will see the grave before he ever sits in the WH..
He was a failure as Gov of Massachusetts, probably couldn't run a taco stand in Tijuana, and he wanted to be President:lamo
I'd agree with sweeping out all the old blood and whole sale replacing it with fresh blood, but term limits have been tried a number of times and haven't succeeded, probably for the same reason that Dittohead not! observed earlier with the infrastructure maintenance budget.
The patients are in charge of the insane asylum!
