This is a case that touched and moved and shocked people across Germany.

I have seen it on TV news several time (we Austrians get like 100 German TV channels, far more than Austrian channels).

What an awful crime (reminds me of the Leonie case here a year ago, when a 13-year old girl was drugged and gang-raped by 4 Afghan illegal immigrants and then suffocated to death and dumped next to a tree.)

I hope they get LIP without a chance to be released.

The German suspect already served 10 years in a psychiatric ward for a previous crime, then was 5 years under supervision and released - declared "no threat anymore". Wrong decision !

A very wrong decision!

The case is not really solved yet.
One knows next to nothing about the final hours in the life of Ayleen Ambs.

Btw: Teufelssee translates as "Devil's Lake".

A macabre touch
Ah right. When I saw the German word I thought: doesn't this mean evil or Hell or something. Was quite close. My German is incredibly weak, but for some reason I know I've seen the word before.

A suspect already? There's been no mention of a suspect or even that this person has been held over here in British news.

Sad, sad story for this poor girl.

There is indeed a suspect in custody.
And it is most likely that he is the murderer.
But the does not say a word.
So there are no news about the case right now.
But the research goes on.

"Teufel" and "Devil" really is the same word.
Just see it this way: T = D and v = f - and the vowels are also similar.

Here is some more information in English:

Ayleen was last seen alive when she left her parents' house "to bring a pullover back to a friend" - as she said.

Now there is the question:
Did she really only want to bring back that pullover, or did she want to buy some time for a secret meeting with her internet "friend"?

Now there is a confession:
