My favorite passage under the "Moving the Conversation Forward" section:

Following Vogue's apology, some social media users called the magazine out for referring to people of color as "nonwhite subjects." Others urged the publication to feature Tagouri in a future issue.
"Noor is not a 'nonwhite subject' she (is) a Muslim woman," one commentator, Shani Vellve, said. "Referring to her as what she is not is weird and it centers whiteness as the standard to which she and other women of color are wrongfully held. Stop describing POCs (people of color) as 'non white subjects.' It is dehumanizing."

Vogue doesn't refer to white Christian models as "Christian women", and social media wouldn't call for that either. Whether Vogue calls Tagouri "non white" or social media calls her "Muslim" - it doesn't matter. They are identifying her, calling her out, and segregating her based on her non-whiteness.

When, oh when, will this madness end?

Vogue corrects itself and apologizes isn't breaking news. Wake me up when Trump does it.

Doesn't really matter. Vogue hasn't been in vogue since Richard Avidon.
