Investigators said they discovered that hundreds of tests had been faked and they said about 20 teachers have confessed to taking part in the scheme.
"The extent of this scheme will never be fully known, but we know that at least 400 tests were taken and at least 200 teachers falsely certified," Ogg said.
Prosecutor Mike Levine said he thinks the ring's kingpin, the head boys basketball coach at Booker T. Washington High School, made more than $1 million from the scheme. Levine said the kingpin charged $2,500 per fake certification but some people paid more due to middlemen.
This is huge. Another reason kids can’t read in this country? Fake teachers. All I can say is, if you have a child in Texas public schools, gird your loins and call your attorneys. For everyone else, keep your eyes peeled for this scandal to balloon beyond Texas.

Sooooo,......... let's just stick ALL our kids in failing schools, with poorly trained teachers, following a teaching agenda that doesn't push reading skills and math skills. Sounds reasonable. NOT.Imagine the shortage of teachers we'd have if so many hadn't cheated.
Maybe we should pay teachers more.
Also, everyone should have no choice but to send their kids to public school.

OR if you were being sarcastic..........my bad.
People who DON'T worry about their kids are negligent. Not being sarcastic at all.
I couldn't care less about any individual person's kids education. I care about the country's education system overall.
I would rather everyone have to "suffer" through the public school system, because then everyone would be invested and demand better results.
Plus, you aren't going to be able to keep your kids away from the public forever.
People only worried about their kids are selfish ****s.

This statement smacks of Marxism. Those pesky bourgeoise.
It's not that big a deal if you look at what is going on in other states...My bold added. This is huge. Another reason kids can’t read in this country? Fake teachers. I am the opposite. I care about my kids and couldn't care less about anybody else's (don't want anything bad happening, etc. of course) but the nation will truck along and most kids will do fine... so why should I worry about other random kids? Not being sarcastic at all.

Texas allows a variety of the same thing. It's not that big a deal if you look at what is going on in other states...My bold added.
"So many Florida teachers have abandoned their profession in recent years that the state is inviting military veterans with no prior teaching experience to lead classrooms while they earn education credentials."

Do you want unqualified teachers or classes with 50 kids in them?
I didn't say that I did. I gave context.Caring about only your kids is selfish. 100%

You implied that I said that I do not care about kids, as in, at all. That was incorrect. That is why the distinction matters.Yes, i know we are talking about getting an education.
Not sure why you think that distinction matters.

Sure thing skippy,Ok bud.
If you don’t care about kids getting an education, then you don’t care about kids.
Rationalize it however you want. I don’t care, and am not going to argue with you about it.
