If you've been watching or reading the news, then you know that Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the islamist de-facto dictator of Turkey, has used the recent secularist coup attempt as an excuse to imprison or fire tens of thousands of supporters of secular natural freedoms from positions of power, including governors, military officers, judges, prosecutors, police officers, teachers, university deans, and journalists. It is clear that the islamist Erdogan regime had been gathering intelligence on all of such people for a long time, so that they already knew who all of the secularists were, and could therefore attack all of them immediately.

I therefore call upon the governments of all nations of the world, and especially those of NATO countries and nuclear-armed countries, to immediately declare war upon the Erdogan regime, and to use all military resources, including nuclear weapons (if they are available to one's country), to destroy said regime. And do not worry that Turkey is a member of NATO, because all of the other NATO countries merely grudgingly tolerate the Erdogan regime because of Turkey's strategic geographical position, so there's no way in hell that any other NATO country will come to the regime's aid.

I doubt we're going to need to. For skilled leaders, military intervention is but one of the tools available, and is the one of last resort. In addition to using a base in Turkey to attack ISIL, we also have nuclear warheads in Turkey...so we're not going to be sitting on our hands doing nothing about it.

NO!!!!

It is Turkey's business and NO ON ELSE'S.

If Turks want him removed, let them do it.

The only case where I would want foreign intervention is if there was major genocide/starvation taking place...which is not the case there...yet.

At this time it is much too difficult to say, what is going on. It was clear that a shift towards religious autocracy was coming and had actually been predicted as a consequence of the way the EU handled the procedure for membership a decade ago and less forcefully 2 decades ago. So there was lots of time to ward off the building problem. While the US should have done more the last couple of years, as in the Ukraine it is the EU that was the main cause. The rapprochement with Russia is more concerning btw, than the religious side of affairs in my view. This is especially remark worthy, if the reports are true that Russia attacked bases, where they knew UK and US forces were probably present along the boarder to Jordan.

Oh god. Another war? Another invasion? This time against a fellow member of NATO?

Pure insanity. :doh

7 of 9.

Btw...what a stupid 'designation'. What happens when they had a big meeting? Unless there were no other 9 person ships, there would bound to be lots of 7 of 9's.
