While Trump was president, Dems presented, twice, a bill that would increase the number of agents for agencies concerned with the borders, upgrade equipment, training and pay/benefits. At the same time, both bills wanted a larger immigration court system so that anyone crossing legally or illegally could get a hearing quickly. Inn doing so, they would be kept at facilities instead of being let go. The courts would quickly determine who stays and who goes in a fair manner.

But because neither bill had funding for the wall, they went nowhere. Because of Trump’s vanity and the GOP desire to lick his shoes clean for petty favors…we don’t have an effective system. It continues because of the GOP in Congress.

We could get a more effective way of dealing with this if the right would just get its head out Trump’s behind…

Everything you mentioned would not stop the invasion. I would just make the process easier for the left to let them all in. Most obvious is the usual left way of thinking, just spend more money, more training, and more benefits but not a dime for the border wall. A million people will never be able to climb over or dig under Trump's wall, which would be a very effective upfront deterrent.

I am saying the equality of equal protection of the at-will employment laws for unemployment compensation could solve simple poverty in a market-friendly manner, on an at-will basis in our at-will employment States. The legal and physical infrastructure already exists.

It is a curious but convenient contradiction: they can bash illegal immigrants as an open political tool with one hand, and continue to ignore the economic policies and factors that benefit those who employ illegal immigrants, holding that second hand behind their backs. Thus Trump’s first political move was to attack illegals. Among his first economic moves after taking office was to weaken labor laws that would protect legal workers.
