I think it's great they are coming together like this, it helps release some of the tension between the countries.

LOL what an idiot.. its the PRIME reason the Dead Sea has been falling.

All major rivers in the area have seen huge declines in flow due to goverments and farmers (often illegally) diverting water for irrigation. Heck parts of the Jordan River is a mere trickle .. and they are "shocked" over the decline?

The Caspian Sea, and other big lakes in Asia has seen and still see the same huge decline in area due to human diveration of rivers feeding them. The Aral Sea has shrunk over 60% over the last 50 years because of such diveration..

Of course not. Although the Soviets knew exactly what they were doing when they started to drain the Aral Sea, but they did not care, nore do they really care today.
