BBC News - Mid-East talks doomed, says Iranian leader Ahmadinejad

Quote(Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has described the direct peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians as futile and doomed to fail.)

IMHO he is (with regret) very probably correct.
This current exercise is likely a ploy by Obama to attempt to achieve something in Foreign relations.
Without go into a long rigmarole, unless and until all Political parties within Palestine agree to be legally bound by whatever agreements are made and signed, there can be no peace.
All this present continuation of talks does is to allow sound bites from Robert Gibbs and his master Obama on a subject that is well away from the Subject the USA electorate are most interested in, namely Job creation successfully achieved.

He is right. Only 1/3 of the problem are willing to discusses seriously, the other 2/3s are just buying their time. As for Obama.. he said he would try and he is trying and it has nothing to do with domestic policy, since most American's could care less about the Middle East with the way the economy is going.

He has said that there is no need for peace talks because the "region's nations" can wipe the 'Zionist regime' off the map.

His comments were backed by those of the Hamas and Hizbollah.
We can see that the terrorists and the terror supporters are objecting to peace talks. Nothing new here.
