Michael Avenatti Arrested for Domestic Violence

democrats elected a dead guy in 2000 in Missouri. Can't recall his name.

Besides, in most cases if a candidate dies and is elected then their political party picks a replacement, and so it makes perfect sense to vote for say hypothetically, Dennis Hoff, because then another R takes the seat. It’s not stupid

Michael Avenatti has been arrested and held in custody on felony charges of domestic violence. Most people on the left have been deeply divided over Michael Avenatti and many hold the opinion that's he's nothing but a grand-stander and media whore. Personally I'm happy that if this is who he really is that it's better it comes out now since he was considering a run for the presidency in 2020 and this will put an end to that notion.

Stormy Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti reportedly arrested for domestic violence

Michael Avenatti was arrested for domestic violence on Wednesday for allegedly attacking his estranged wife.

Avenatti, a lawyer for Donald Trump’s alleged ex-mistress Stormy Daniels, was taken into custody in Los Angeles Wednesday for allegedly leaving his wife’s face “swollen and bruised,” according to TMZ.

The incident originally took place on Tuesday but LAPD responded to the address Wednesday where Avenatti could be heard saying “She hit me first, This is bulls–t,” the website reported.

His wife, Lisa, ran out of the apartment building wearing sunglasses and saying on the phone, “I can’t believe you did this to me,” TMZ reported.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, has said she had sex with Trump in 2006 — and was paid $130,000 to keep it quiet. Trump has denied having an affair.

Avenatti, who did not respond to a request for comment, was still in police custody Wednesday evening.

Maybe he is sharing a cell with Alec Baldwin.

Ironically, he deserves the presumption of innocence that he refused to give others.

Yeah, I saw that this morning and I would be lying if I said I wasn't happy about what was happening here. But to think that this could probably stop him from running for president, is a hard dream to float.

I don't think this is going to stop him one bit, because he is backing the whole "It's a complete lie to discredit me" angle...

I may have left my party years ago, but that doesn't mean I can't feel for the crap that's happening to it.

That man is creepier than the Night Stalker.

Have we heard yet who he committed violence against? He's estranged from his wife and I saw that she and another ex (wife? GF?) both released statements that he never exhibited any violence towards him.

the LAPD says its not his wife but another person(not named)[TMZ upddated their story too], and that this person has been granted an emergency protective order.

It will be interesting to see how this becomes Trump's fault. I think I'll have to watch CNN tomorrow morning so they can explain it to me.

Honestly it doesn't surprise me with this guy.
What is funny is all the people trying to write this off.

it is sad. these people sob and yell at clouds about this stuff until one of their own do it.
then it is circle the wagons boys and protect the hypocrisy.

i hope his butt stays in jail. of course he is going to try she hit me first that is what he is programmed to do.
however that is not how the police usually work.

If he had no marks or injuries and she did he goes to jail.

new g/f, high paid hooker etc .. not sure.

he is in a lot of legal trouble already maybe the pressure just overwelmed him.

he has lost at least 3 major cases in court, and if the DOJ decides to he could
be under fire for perjury to congress.

On top of that with all the crap going on I am highly surprised he has not been issued a full
bar review on ethic violations.

Jacob Wohl bragged that it was him. Remember his sad stunt to try to smear Mueller? Guessing he'll have some criminal charges. Avenatti will definitely financially ruin him.

Thanks for the update. I'll check out TMZ, as much as that pains me to do.

Must be a new girlfriend. Ick. What would she be thinking? Probably dollar signs and a chance to get on TV.

Jacob Wohl is a snake. But how is Avenatti going to "definitely financially ruin him"?

I think it would be logical to wait for the entire story before jumping to conclusions.
Are you saying that to Brett Kavanaugh?
yes, I most certainly did.

. . . didja, though? I don't see anything but your wholehearted belief in his accuser from the moment the accusation came down, driven, apparently, by residue from Anita Hill.

I believe that Brett Kavanaugh has no clear recollection of this incident but I believe he has some memory of it. I also believe that Christine Blasey Ford is telling the truth. Brett Kavanaugh graduated from Bethesda’s Georgetown Prep high school in 1983 which was an all-boys high school. The yearbook has pages dedicated to each graduating high school senior. Kavanaugh’s page includes references to the "Keg City Club" and "100 kegs or bust."

Brett Kavanaugh was drunk at the time of the incident. Christine Blasey was just 15 years old. I can say from first-hand experience that any woman that has been sexually molested, no matter how old she was at the time, will never forget exactly what happened right down to the smallest detail and that memory doesn't dim or vague with passing years. it's always a memory that's as clear as if it happened days ago, not decades ago.

I think Brett Kavanaugh made a huge mistake denying it adamantly. If he had said, "I have no clear memory of this, but I believe I was at that party and was very drunk. I really don't recall anything about the incident she describes but if I had done what she said, it was an unforgivable act and I want to apologize to this woman. I would never intentionally do anything like that and I'm so very sorry if I had, I only hope she can accept my heartfelt apology that's long overdue her." That's all that Brett Kavanaugh should have said.

So that's how I would have handled it if I were him, then the Republicans could say "see what a great guy he is accepting responsibility even though he has no memory of that incident!" He would have been confirmed by this Thurs., but now that he denied it, there will be a big mess for both of them that's going public in a open hearing. Regardless of the outcome, Kavanaugh will be confirmed.

Memories of the Clarence Thomas and Anita Hill hearings all come back once again in a very similar situation. Only then, Anita Hill was demonized and attacked and implied that she was a slut. In addition to Joe Biden attacking her credibility, so was Orrin Hatch.

Orrin Hatch was questioned today by a reporter; Reporter: "Do you think that any of these claims are legitimate?" Hatch: "No, I don't. I think this woman, whoever she is, is mixed up. I can't speak for her but all I can say is, no I don't." Senator Hatch didn't even take dignify Christine Blasey Ford with a name. To Orrin Hatch she's 'this woman, whoever she is'.

The words of Orrin Hatch are very similar to the words he said regarding the Anita Hill testimony against Clarence Thomas 27 years ago. "And there's no question in my mind she was coached by special interest groups," "Her story's too contrived. It's so slick it doesn't compute."

I'd be curious if you could provide some examples of your skepticism re: accusations against Kavanaugh. I've gone through your posts, and I don't see it.

But if you did, and I missed it, I'll be happy to say so.

Damn. I hope it's not true.

I was hoping he was one of the good guys with some balls. Democrats could really use some balls.

He has a spine, for sure, but I don't know how anyone would have accused him of being 'one of the good guys'.

It's normally not the party that decides a replacement per se. In most states, the Governor appoints the replacement, so if the governor is of the same party, it can happen.

In states that require a special election, one strategy is to vote for the dead candidate if you support that party, because if he/she wins, you get a do-over in the special election (which I personally like in terms of fairness).

Baldwin spent 3 hours in custody....Released....Avenatti was released after 4 hours,,,Betting charges will be dropped for both...Try again

You can bet all you want.

That doesn't change the fact that there was enough evidence to arrest these two.

In Washington the political party (of the deceased candidate) in that county selects the replacement

To the Leftists out there: I present to you one of your candidates in 2020 for POTUS. A man who had presented no evidence against Trump during the whole Stormy Daniels debacle. A man who had presented no evidence (other than an accuser, who didn't prove anything) against Kavanaugh during the Senate Judiciary Hearings. A man who had not presented evidence against Tucker Carlson during the Country Club incident back in October of this year. And now a man who could be charged with domestic violence against someone who is the very gender he claims to defend. There's your party's future right there. A lying, agitating, and now, possibly, violent person who represents everything the Left stands for. The poster boy of what it's like being one of today's Leftists. Good job promoting this man!

In all seriousness, Avenatti is a piece of crap creepy porn lawyer who doesn't deserve the positive recognition that he gets. If I were a Leftist, I'd be ashamed of calling this man one of my own. You guys might want to reconsider your options for 2020. Although there was a poll that was out on who Democrat voters want and Avenatti was dead last with less than 1% to potential voters, so there MIGHT be some sense (somewhere) from the Left. Let this guy fade away and stop giving this him anymore legitimacy.
