On one hand, I suspect you're right. Sex robots probably aren't going to replace women for the majority of men any time soon.

On the other hand I think you're taking a simplistic view of the situation. Look at internet porn. It has already replaced sex and dating for some men. And it has seriously changed sex and dating for a much larger pool of men and women. The article has a key quote I think.
