Well, I'd like to think the President of the United States should represent all Americans to the best of his ability.

But in my depiction of him as "The Ugly American", I was thinking in the classic use of the term as relating to his position on the world stage, and how he will interact with the world. I think he's going to look & act like a fool.

It was obvious physical mockery of a person who is physically handicapped. If you want to excuse it on the basis of the man's handicap being different from the physical mockery employed against him, go ahead. Most people, including the reporter, seem to have gotten the message.

I don't think there's any doubt in anyone's mind that Trump uses MANY exaggerated hand gestures.

This is just another one of them.

It has nothing to do with Kovaleski's disability, but rather the fact that Kovaleski was backtracking on his own reporting which supported Trump's claim that Muslims in Jersey City, NJ were celebrating the destruction in Manhattan on 9/11.

The allegation that Trump was mocking Kovaleski is just left-wing media spin intended to distract from the fact that both the Washington Post and the local NY/NJ CBS affiliate corroborated Trump's claim that Muslims in Jersey City were in fact seen celebrating the 9/11 attacks.

Unfortunately many people are uninformed sheep who allow themselves to be led around by the nose by a media that was clearly in the bag for Hillary Clinton.

Fortunately, enough people saw through the smoke screen that we haven't been saddled with that idiot, or another 4 years of left wing dumbassedness.

LOL-so if someone is blind and I pretend he couldn't hear me that would be Physical mockery but not based on his disability. Its obvious that the anti Trump left doesn't care about being truthful in their attempt to attack Trump

I coach an Autistic athlete and have coached other autistic athletes. I asked the parents of these athletes if they believed Trump was making fun of Autistics when that pathetic Hiillary supporter claimed "there is no room for my (autistic) son in Trump's America. All of them said that was ridiculous since the reporter was not autistic nor did his handicap have anything to do with Autism.

Its like that whining black kid who said that Trump insulted him (he had some sort of spinal tumor) as well. most objective people listened to that crap and said what BS.

no one was able to find cases where Trump has been known to actually discriminate against people with physical handicaps

Exactly. I could care less about her opinion, but abusing a captured audience to make some political statement while being awarded for 'art' is unprofessional. And part of why these shows are losing viewers. People tune in to hear about acting, not politics.

Where did Trump say we do not want any foreigners , he wants foreigners to come here legally . Trump wants foreigners properly vetted ! We seen an ISIS recruit kill 5 citizens in Florida this week that went to the FBI stating ISIS was controlling his mind what exactly did they do ? Was he put on a no fly list ? NO . Was his pistol permit pulled ? NO . Meryl won't walk among the average citizen , won't live near the average citizen , had to have security to protect her , so WHAT THE HELL DOES MERYL KNOW ABOUT ANYTHING BUT ACTING !

That's exactly it. I support her opposition to Trump. I also oppose Trump. I didn't vote for him and probably never would. But I wouldn't use an inappropriate forum to air my grievances about him. These Hollywood types and entertainers do this too often. Go on the show circuits or Tweet or host fundraisers. Just don't use the Cecil B. deMille award ceremony at the Golden Globes to do it.
