At her todays press conference a journalist asked MErkel if it true that Trump was charming her.

She did not say "he did what", what she said is "Was hatte er, mich......" to which a journalist said "bezaubert". Now translated it says "he claimed to have done what to me..........? to which the reporter said "enchanted you". To which she stated that she keeps private conversations private and would not comment on such things. The "amused expression" came to the response of the journalists, not the other way around.

And I doubt he enchanted her, Angela Merkel is not my political point of view representative but she is down to earth and not enchanted by the likes of Donald Trump or any other man.
