Lets go and pay our respects to our lost members of our family and :2usflag: our fallen members of our Armed Forces.:2usflag:
~~~
Then we can all light up our grills and fill our coolers with some good beer and soda too.
I just want to give every American :elephantf :2usflag: :rwbdonkey a big hand shake and be at peace tomorrow.
I swear the first partisan on this site that uses tomorrow for political grandstanding is gonna be in my crosshairs for the next month!!!
Mine, too. I already have my lightsaber out and charged.
My respect and gratitude to past and current members of the US military and their many sacrifices on our behalf.
Ditto. Thanks! And also thanks to YOU for your service!
Happy Memorial Day to everyone. Thank you to all the service men and women who have fought to make out country the great place that it is.
I would also like to pay my respects to the soldiers of the US military that have served their country. The US is rightly proud of it brave and honest servicemen.
:usflag2: :respekt:
My first visit to the cemetery was that of my WW2 Vet :2usflag: father, mother and 2 year old decised sister. I know everyone says that their Parents were the best but I truly couldn't have had better parents. They lived for us kids.
Next was to all of my other decised family members, Grandmothers, Grandfathers, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. :2usflag: Seven of My Uncles served in WW2 and five of my cousins served in Nam.
Next was to all of my familys great friends.
Then off to all of my Nam buddies gravesites. My great friend Ray was paralized from the waist down but never complained even once. Three of them including Ray got me out when I was captured. Later Ray and my other buddies were trapped and I went in 3 times to try and get them out. I (and others) finally got them out but Ray was alwready paralized from one bullet in his back. He huged and kissed me and said I knew that you would never stop until you either got me out or you got killed trying. He said he prayed for me that I wouldn't get killed trying to get him out. Not one word of his being paralized. :2usflag: WE buried him last year with full Military honors.
After placing flowers on every grave site, saying prayers, telling them all that i loved and missed them and I saluted them.
Then it was off to all of our Vets gravesites full of flags for a thank you and a salute.
Funny how I have two familys, one in real life and one from Nam.
After many tears and salutes I went home. Another year another Vets day.
Then I went home and kissed every one of my medals from Nam.
I just cannot get myself to argue here so I will be off for a while.
America, the greatest Country with the :2usflag: Best Military any where in the world.
