Meet the Town That's Being Swallowed by a Sinkhole

Sink holes can be caused by leaking pipes where the water erodes and washes away the soil under a street or house. It's not an unusal phenomena.

But I do wonder if emptying large underground oil fields and aquafirs will eventually come back to haunt us. Are they or should they replace the oil and water pumped out with soil or something?
 
If you truly had already done so all your questions would have been answered. So do so, really this time and stop wasting my time. OR you can just look at the threads you participated in and see that all that info has been sourced and posted already. Do your own homework.

Some depleated oil wells are refilled typically with oil field waste water
