The media has good times listening to Jay Carney's description of comprehensive immigration reform. Carney was attempting to push the narrative that bringing in millions of unskilled laborers from other countries is going to somehow increase American wages.

even the Obama water carrying media is starting to laugh at this administrations absurd claims and lies

He always appreciates the questions!

That is exactly what should happen to him everytime he starts bull****ting for the president.

Wait until he is asked to explain how this version of immigration reform will not hurt unskilled blacks looking for work, that now enjoy a super high unemployment rate as it is. Never mind, that is never going to be asked by the press that he will call on. ;)

Of the 11 million illegal immigrants how many are post graduates who will obtain a patent. As to the first point, how have lower income workers done over the last 27 years. Hint check the stamp stamp roles.

Because legal aliens will fetch higher wages and be able to consume more goods and services directly and freely adding to demand that will create more sales and more goods being produced like homes to be bought and cars to be supped up.

Legal aliens are those admitted because they meet legal standards and fill a controlled demand, illegal aliens are simply those that feel special, willingly ignored the law, dislliked being told to wait in line or detested being turned down for some (probably valid) reason. The act of converting all (or even most) of 11 million illegal aliens into legal aliens ONLY based on their current location does not alter who they are. If we must bypass or alter our immigration standards simply to accomodate criminals (or line jumpers) how is that "reasoned" immigration reform verses simple amnesty? Why should any person now here get to stay simply because they either entered illegally (or overstayed a temporary visa) before some arbitrary date while those that are obeying the law are still denied admission or must remain on a waiting list?

The illegal aliens are here whether you call them legal or illegal. What presents the promise of economic gains are the cap increases that will allow more skilled workers in. I recall reading that the silicon valley folks have considered building one of those outside US water and airspace ocean platform communities to use to be able to get high tech workers close in that they could not get through immigration because of the caps but that it cuts down on having to take prototypes back and forth to Asia.

Again, you may duck, bob and weave all that you wish - the vast majority of the amnesty crowd is not what silicon valley is after. Most illegal aliens are low skilled and not very well educated, competeing for jobs that we have many unemployed folks waiting to fill. Perhaps 3 million out of the 11 million would qualify for immigration (after reform) without need for amnesty if they were returned to their country of origin, but even that may take them 5 years. I have heard no rational argument for keeping uneducated, non-English speaking, semi-skilled illegal alien labor while we have an unemployment rate of about 20% for our citizen minority and youth that mostly can speak/read/write at least some English.
