U.S. troops recently raided a terrorist safe house in Iraq and found Iranian agents working with them. They were pressured into releasing them despite the evidence against them by the Iraqi government.

But this further undermines the left's assertion (including the Iraq Surrender Group) that Iran has a "vested interest in a stable Iraq.

It also reminds us that the left's relentless misrepresenting of Iranian, Syrian-sponsored terrorism in Iraq as a civil war/some kind of a popular uprising against us removing their genocidal terror-sponsor is crap.

"Two Iranians detained by American troops in Iraq and suspected of transferring weapons technology to insurgents in that country were released early Friday, Iran's state-run television and news agency reported...On Thursday, a Pentagon official said U.S. forces had found "indications and evidence that all of the people rounded up, including the two Iranians, are involved in the transfer of IED technologies from Iran to Iraq." IED stands for improvised explosive devices, or small bombs that are commonly used in attacks in Iraq."

Naturally, there has been ZERO media coverage of this.

Yo, pubby, this was your f_cking link!

capturewiz027mg9.jpg

:spin:

It was in the news, so hardly buried. Secondly your link dont work so cant verify anything. And lastly, the 2 in question were Iranian diplomats with diplomatic immunity

However yes, Fox News does not have it on their website (at least I cant find it).

But then again its another **** up by the US occupation forces so why should Fox News say anything.

Yes, it was well reported and not a major find at all. Seems someone either jumped too early, or used and trusted a source that shouldn't have been.

aquapub has only been using lexisnexis for a couple of months. so please don't give him such a hard time when he can't find articles with it, or when he forgets that others need to able to log in, in order to use it.

Apparently you haven't noticed that this is the same Iraqi government that's been releasing the death squad bosses we've been capturing and lifting essential security road blocks we've put in place.

PeteEU;456180the 2 in question were Iranian diplomats with diplomatic immunity [/QUOTE said:
Yes, they were two Iranian military advisors who the Iranian government calls diplomats, who were caught in a raid on a house filled with terrorists, aiding the enemy in Iraq.

The fact that Iran refers to these people caught helping terrorists in Iraq as "Iranian diplomats" furthers MY point, not yours.

Sure, if you call no newspaper articles, no magazine articles, no TV news coverage, "well-reported."

I have not forgotten that. I've been nagged into posting links that won't work by a liberal moderator. Nice ASSumption though. ;)

Google news search:
Results 1 - 10 of about 235 for terrorist safe house in Iraq.

Some stuff takes a while to gain momentum, other items drift off into the netherworld. Project Censored is an interesting (albeit leftwing leaning) source that reviews what the MSM seems to be glossing over or just plain ignoring.

These are all blogs and web sites...Lexis Nexis didn't have anything for any newspaper, magazine, TV news transcript, or anything except one AP news wire...because....

The mainstream media buried the story, just like I said.

Actually, my wife told me about this after she saw it on...wait for it...television. She made me hunt it down on the internet to read more about it after seeing it on television.

Er the Iraqies and the US calls them diplomats.. they were invited by the Iraqi goverment for peak sake.

First this story was hardly buried which I and others have clearly proved.

Secondly, its hardly a big story compared to the other crap going on in Iraq and other places in the world.

Thirdly, the whole raid was botched and when the US goverment does not even attempt to blow it out of poportion like thier usual "Al Q leader arrested/killed" crap, then you got to wonder if they are not covering something up. And if we look at it, yes they are.. they arrested 2 diplomats, raided a leading clerics house and pissed off the Iraqi goverment. Who is running the country again.. the Iraqies or the Americans?

The current Iraqi government is a puppet government that has fallen victim to Iranian influence and shia stupidity. As deplorable as it is, Iraq may no longer exist in a few years unless Iran put in permenant check.

:doh

A non-governmental Iraqi cleric (probably Muqtada Al Sadr) has ABSOLUTELTY NO BUSINESS HOSTING TERRORSIT DIPLOMATS FROM IRAN. The whole situation smells of treason and terrorism.

Many people wonder why Iraq is the way it is... well let me tell you. Iraq is what it is because of Iranian interference. If not for Iran's incesant arming and funding of terrorist groups, WE WOULD NOT STILL BE IN IRAQ.

Iran did not want the US to rebuild a peaceful non-shia government because it would prevent them from having political influence in Iraq. Iran is a terrorist nation that openly condones mass murder of people worldwide.

While the shiite scumbags in Iraq are currently owned by Iranian influence there will be no peace in Iran. Iran's attemps to gain nuclear weapons are a means to prevent them from losing this end.

In short, Iran's government is a terrorist-infested shithole that bears responsibility for arming terrorists in Iraq. It needs to be permenantly dismantled. The same can be said for Syria.

When a government invites guests to their country for legitimate purposes, they do so in a public forum. It is NOT normal to invite diplomats to a personal residence. This smells of treason and terrorism.

The Iranian officials they seized should have been given accommodations at Guantanamo Bay for a little chat.

Have you even read the facts?

A link to the same exact story at a more "neutral" source

Report: U.S. frees 2 Iranian detainees - Yahoo! News

A non-governmental Iraqi cleric (probably Muqtada Al Sadr) has ABSOLUTELTY NO BUSINESS HOSTING TERRORSIT DIPLOMATS FROM IRAN. The whole situation smells of treason and terrorism.

Now from the linked story, it does not say what safe house or anything about when, where or what. It is in fact quite bare of facts, and that is strange considering the next link was published a few days earlier on the 25th of December. Reuters also has the story (as do many new sites) and we get more information and insight.

http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/L25252093.htm

I quote..

The diplomats came to Iraq at the invitation of the president

Something you can see in the AP story also, but that both you and Aquapup ignored. Secondly this quote.

The Times said that one of the raids took place in the Baghdad compound of SCIRI head Abdul Aziz al-Hakim, one of Iraq's most powerful Shi'ite leaders, who travelled to Washington three weeks ago to meet President George W. Bush.

Yes he was not a "goverment minister" but the cleric in question is part of the powerbase in Iraq and the men were invited by the top dog himself. And I thought it was 1 raid.. not several?

Many people wonder why Iraq is the way it is... well let me tell you. Iraq is what it is because of Iranian interference. If not for Iran's incesant arming and funding of terrorist groups, WE WOULD NOT STILL BE IN IRAQ.

I agree in part, but this story proves nothing. The rest of your ranting is just more unproven right wing crap. Plus its not exactly news that Iran wants influence in Iraq and the rest of the region.. that was one of the reasons to keep Saddam in place for all those years.

When a government invites guests to their country for legitimate purposes, they do so in a public forum. It is NOT normal to invite diplomats to a personal residence. This smells of treason and terrorism.

Treason in what country? And secondly goverments, even your own, invite people constantly for private meetings and non public forum meetings. So this rant is just that.. another unproven rant, as the facts show a different picture.

Was this reported on other places other than FOX. If they were real agents, why didn't we just leave their bodies in the warehouse. Accidents can happen.

Fox is propaganda, paid by Murdock to create and support far right wing
Misinformation and inuendo. Now they don't propagandize everything. Just any thing that will make their political loyal viewers and master happy.

I do watch fox news on Cable at times, but I never listen to O'Reilly, or Hannity. that is to much for a loyal American to take.

No matter how you guzzy it up, Aqua, I have a problem believing things reported on Fox unless they are reported in the News media too. They are always coming up with things that are not reported anywhere else. Mostly I think tis because it was created from Scratch on Fox, and mostly it just little stuff. BushPoop repeated over and over until some dummy believes it.

Hey Aquapub,

"It also reminds us that the left's relentless misrepresenting of Iranian, Syrian-sponsored terrorism in Iraq as a civil war/some kind of a popular uprising against us removing their genocidal terror-sponsor is crap." What are you talking about?

I read the Nation, Progressive Magazine, watch at least three or four newcasts daily, I have not heard anything resembling this from the left.

You've not heard the left call the situation in Iraq a civil war? You might want to pick better news sources.
