DECATUR, Ga. - Georgia voters denied Rep. Cynthia McKinney re-election on Tuesday.

With more than 90 percent of the precincts reporting in the Fourth Congressional District Democratic runoff, challenger Hank Johnson, the black former commissioner of DeKalb County, had 59 percent against McKinney. The votes were slow coming in because of computer problems in DeKalb County, but once a bad computer hub was replaced, the votes began streaming in.

she's nuts I saw one of her debates on c-span and she opposed the Afghan war on the basis that UBL wasn't responsible for 9-11.
 
Good for them, this woman needed to be told in no uncertain terms, that her behavior was unacceptable, and that she was hurting the image of her constituents.

Actually, many of us in GA were hoping for the Moonbat McKinney to win...Johnson actually sounds reasonable. We'd rather have the dems be known for the likes of McKinney. After all, she fits well with Howard "The Scream" Dean, Cindy Sheehan, et al.

McKinney's "15 minutes" were up about 15 years ago. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Now if she will just check herself into the local mental facility the circle would be complete. Whatever she was taking didn't work. She needs stronger medication or a frontal lobotomy.

As a side note, considering the incumbency reelection rate of 98%, its worth nothing that that district has voted an incumbent out of office FOUR times in a row.

She did not just lose, she got stomped 59 to 41 percent......Great to see a liberal whacko bite the dust.........

I personally am so glad she got booted. I am so sick of hearing her try to start all of these rediculous black vs. white fights that she so loves. Hey McKinny here's a hint: Slavery ended 141 years go, GET OVER IT!! :soap

...Then her group gets into another scuffle on the way out! :rofl

Even the Democrats I have seen on TV say the DNC is a better party the day after her defeat.

She was a very liberal congresswoman who voted with her caucas over 90 percent of the time and is being replaced by a moderate.........Even if this guy gets elected in November this can only be construed as a win win situation for Republicans and Conservatives.....

Blaming the evil Diebold voting machines is the latest excuse used by all moonbat democrats when they lose. They just don't understand that the American voter doesn't like them.

Voting with the caucas 90% of the time is a skewed statistic though. Think about how many times Reps and Dems vote and agree on the same issue. How many times to they vote every year? Just because they disagree on the publicized issues doesn't mean that they dissagree on everything.

And its fantastic that she's being replaced by a moderate! Every single politician is office now who isn't an independant should be voted out and replaced by a moderate. Just to expand on your closing sentence though, I would like to say:

Well to be honest, I don't think there is room in her pod for Al Franken and Randi Rhodes. Perhaps they can stay in a pod next to her?
