Maxine Waters among lawmakers accused of abusing privilege of air marshals on flights

View attachment 67333303

An elected leader who argues vociferously for less policing is not expected to demand more policing for herself. A woman who is in many ways a national face of the social justice movement is not expected to have a daughter named "Karen." A message board yahoo who repeatedly accuses others of not knowing what the word "irony" means is expected to have at least looked up the word before.

Yep, irony can be pretty ironic sometimes.

Congratulations. Now what you do what that definition going forward is up to you.

"a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result"

No one anywhere in the country expects for any congressperson to surrender their security detail.

If I had more energy or else cared more, I'd give examples of actual irony. But I don't have that energy, and I simply don't care.

For at least the third time, you have a real problem understanding what irony means.

I'm sorry that this is an issue for you. I don't know what to do about it. I've pointed it out to you in other threads.

Over weeks, there has been no improvement on your part.

In this thread, I officially give up. I am fairly sure that you will never understand what irony means.

You just might talk about irony incorrectly on this forum for the next couple of decades, and that's funny to me.

Maxine Waters among lawmakers accused of abusing privilege of air marshals on flights

Probably on her way to Minneapolis to bellow. What Maxine....Minneapolis does not already have a Representative in the House. There are not activists that are not legislators willing to go to Minneapolis to speak? STAY HOME AND SHUT UP Maxine!

Same for card carrying IDIOT Ron Johnson commenting that some Americans should simply not get vaccinated and then going on to make some whack-a-doodle argument that includes the outstanding efficacy of the vaccines to make his case for WHY SOME SHOULD NOT GET VACCINATED. Did he do this from the panel of some Senate Oversight Committee or some other actual Legislative forum? NO! In an interview. Where did you get your degree in Epidemiology from RON???? SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP!

Both of these clowns were way outside of their lanes.

Interesting that all the other lawmakers doing this get a pass.

this one is a pisser
waters has always been a weak representative
"... Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., who flew from Washington, D.C., to Minneapolis on April 17 to attend the trial of former police officer Derek Chauvin. Waters was already accompanied by two armed Capitol Police and two U.S. Secret Service agents when she allegedly requested two air marshals and two more marshals on touchdown to escort her in the airport. ... "
8 people assigned to guard her?!
if there was a healthy fee imposed, deducted from the congress-critter's paycheck, to partially offset the expense of such bullshit, this would end
they do it because they can ... and at NO personal cost
too scared to serve? then don't
that the agency heads are too afraid to end such absurd perks because they are fearful what will happen to their budgets in the congress if they end the abusive practices, smells like coersion
How long has this weak representative as you call her been in office? I didn't bother reading the rest.

Both services deny they provided her protection and that article said both parties take advantage of the marshals. I wonder why fox only mentions waters? Must be their fair and balanced approach?

I'm not sure this is irony. My observations actually show a 100% correlation between these two things, and I have come to expect the Defund/Abolish schnozzles to beef up their own security.

Timely exit.

I would suggest that she be afforded no more personal protection than she would allow us common folk to have.

She's not special. She shouldn't be guarded by anyone carrying more than what she wants us lowly commoners to be able to have.

And there it is. Exactly as I said earlier. You want Maxine Waters to have reduced protection, which you know would make her more vulnerable to an assassination attempt.

Didn't think you were that antidemocratic, but here we are. 🤷‍♂️

She supports defunding the police and yet wants personal and private police escorts.

I'm not surprised that you don't have a problem with this; not surprised in the least.

Says the person who has no problem with the 1/06 attacks. :)

I only want her to have the protection she wants us to be able to have. If that makes anyone vulnerable, it's she who is doing it.

Grizzly Adams, who has already gone on the record as wanting Maxine Waters to be more vulnerable to assassination attempts, now wants to blame Waters herself! You can't make this shit up!

She's not special. She shouldn't be any less vulnerable to violent crime than she would make John Q. Sixpack be.

too long

and thanks for asking

You're already made it crystal clear that you want her to be more vulnerable to assassination. You don't have to keep reminding us.

^^ This is what lying looks like. It's also what falsely assigning a position looks like.

No, I will not respond to you further in this thread, since you decided to lie.

Dishonest commentary is stock and trade for that one.

She makes double sure that she is protected.

But she doesn't care about us nobodies being at the mercy of the mobs.

Oh? You arent’ allowed to call 911 where you live? NO police protection? And how many groups are specifically targeting you personally?

Yep, irony can be pretty ironic sometimes.

She’s never argued for less policing. No one has.

It’s only ironic if you make up an argument she never made to compare it to a new argument she didn’t make.

And how many groups are specifically targeting you personally?
There is one group (not necessary to specify) that is targeting any prey they see on the street.

Every ordinary citizen needs protection nowadays in any urban area. (Just ask all the Asian victims.)

Sounds like you’re making it all up. And it sounds pretty hysterical.

I’m sorry your life is filled with such terror.

It just takes a special kind of stupid to belive a call to “defund the police” is not a call for there to be less policing. It would be like believing a call to “defund public education” is somehow not a call to educate less.
