Okay, here's a chance for you guys to use your creativity. If you have heard a conspiracy involving these subjects then feel free to share -- if not, then make up one. After all, this is the internet and maybe your theory will be the next hot item believed by most óf France's parliament.

Oh, cummon now. Everybody knows that a consortium of Jewish bankers invented a time machine with which they travelled back 800 years in order to steal the Holy Grail. Lacking the wherewithall to hide the thing well, they enlisted the Knights templar to travel with them to what is now Utah whereupon they buried the thing in a masonic tomb in the vast salt flats. Unbenowngst to us rabble, the holy Grail holds secret powers, including that which gives modern Zionists control over every last political and economic detail everywhere in the world. Since the Jewish bankers knew a good thing when they saw it, they also travelled forwards in time and so already know how the whole shebaz would end. In order to agree to helping them, though, the knights templar wanted a piece of the action, and so formed a secret society of their own, the masons, who would forever guard the location of the tomb in exchange for a ride back in time at that point when the sh!t hit the fan. They, along with their descendants who now call themselves Mormans as well as the gnarled old bankers (you can tell they are evil by their shylock noses and their knuckle tattoos that spell out the word "Illuminati" ) will all then form a perfect society of unbridled capitalism and fancy clothes.

Some say they already have.

Well, the Morman religion did borrow from some Masonic tenents and rituals.

Only, the Masons have never denied that their rituals are not meant to be taken literally. Hiram Abiff is a fictous character and the Masons have never claimed otherwise.

Masonry is a benevolent fraternity dedicated to the relief of others and the betterment of their brotherhood to become more worthy individuals. Religous and political discussions within the lodge are frowned upon as the two topics are prone to cause division and controversy. "Harmony and strength are the support of all institutions, more especially of ours."

It is religous in nature but not a religion. It matters not if you are Catholic, Baptist, Buddist, Hindu or Muslim. In the Masonic lodge, you are just another brother, equal in all respects.

Masons donate, quietly, millions of dollars each day to a plethra of charities. Many of you have heard of "Shriner's Hospitals." Did you know that you have to be a Master Mason before you can join the Shrine and become a Shriner?

There are a LOT of conspiracy theories out there regarding Masonry and nobody gets a bigger kick out of their absurdity than the Mason's do. No matter what you heard or what you THINK you know, unless you have been raised to become a Mason, believe me, you are clueless as to what they are, what they do and what they are all about.

They are so "secret" that there are no less than a zillion websites about Freemasonry and they are listed in every phonebook ever printed. Their lodges have signs as big as billboards. Now, if that's not secret, I don't know what is. :rofl Seriously, the ONLY thing secret about Freemasonry are their modes of recognition. And even that's not really a secret for curious minds. Many o' disgruntled past Masons have divulged the lodge secrets once they have been deemed unworthy and booted out of the fraternity.

Say what you will about Masons. They really don't care. All they care about is doing good deeds. Regardless of what one thinks or says about them, if their child ever gets burnt to a crisp, and has no monetary means for treatment, they might find themselves, with hat in hand, asking for Masonic relief. And they will get it too.

So mote it be.

Nope................ Master Mason first.

In fact, there was a time when one had to be a 32nd degree Mason before being allowed to join the Shrine. That may still be the case in some jurisdictions. I'm not sure.

This common fundamentalist evangelical charge has been debunked by many scholars. The Mormon temple rituals have been shown to be much closer to the ancient Hebrew and Egyptian ones. That there may be a slight similarities in a few areas with the Masons would be expected with the religions's claims as the Masons rituals probably descended from an ancient source and some parts surviving..

Eh Gardener...you left out the important part that is shaping todays wars and politics. Everyone knows that George Bush Sr. had sent an expedition to Utah to locate the long forgotten time machine. Upon finding it he gave his son the privilage of utilizing it to benefit the whole family. You see it as always been a family dream to own 100k acres in Paraguay and to construct upon that land, a 60k acre lake which was to be filled with the oil of conquered countries. Jr. used this time machine in '72 and '73 when he was absent from military duty (BIG OLE COVER UP...THE DOCUMENT WAS REAL I SAY!) and traveled to Christmas Eve of 2000 at which point he snuck into the WTC with numerous powerful explosive devices and rigged the towers to fall in a predetermined way, smart one with the engineering that Bush ;), Then he placed a C-4 shape charge on the wall of the pentagon which he covered up with plaster and paint to disguise. Having accomplished this, he traveled to the morning on 9/11 and disguised himself as an aircraft maintainer and caused electrical malfunctions in the navigation equipment of the A/C that hit the WTC. Having spun the web of his devious plan he traveled back to 1968 and conversed with an 11 year old Osama Bin Laden and promised him 10 chocolate bars if he would take the blame in 2001 and allow Bush to war with oil producing countries for to fill his lake. DUH!

If thats not the truth I dont know what is!

I honestly think Bush is a great president and a great protector of america...so I was shocked to discover this scheme...oh well still think hes better than Clinton =)

Well, you have a point I supposed. Whereas the Masonic rituals were taken from an ancient source, some similar rituals have also been incorporated in the religion of Mormanism.

Joseph Smith and many of his followers were once Masons themselves. And since Freemasonry predates Mormanism, and the founders of Mormanism were at one time Freemasons, that is where I was was going with this. They got these rituals from their experiences in Masonry and decided to incorporate them into Mormanism. But you are correct sir if we decided to take it back one step further.

If I got a twenty dollar bill from Bob, and you got ten dollars of that twenty from me, it can be said that the ten you got originally came from Bob, technically speaking.

I stand corrected.

No problema, CaptainAmerica. Much respect :2wave:.

My grandfather was a mason. If I wanted to become a mason, I would have no issue becomming one. Furthermore, you are correct regarding the alleged "secret soceity" thing.

That means that your grandfather was/is a good man. They say the apples don't fall far from the tree. That leads me to believe that you too, are a good man. I'm sure you would have no problem qualifying to become a Mason as well, as long as you do not have any felonies and profess a belief, any belief, in a supreme being. Atheists are not allowed in the fraternity even though the fraternity does not endorse any particular religious belief over another.

But the Masons will not come and ask you to join. Should you ever desire to join that fraternity you will have to "petition" to do so. 2B1ask1. Your petition must be signed by two Master Masons that are in good standing with the fraternity. Then get ready to be investigated like you have never been investigated before. That don't mean you have to be a saint though because nobody is perfect and Mason's realize that. Mason's just take good men and make them better.

is there an age limit on joing the masonic lodges ?

The petitioner must be 21 years old or older. There are some lodge auxillarties designed for underage males as well as young ladies. There is also a lodge auxillary for the women to join as well.
