Mars Will Become a Ringed Planet When Phobos Dies : Discovery News

Thanks, Obama.

.

Will this be before or after humanity has settled the planet?

Humanity will never settle Mars.

Don't tell Elon Musk though. He plans to Nuke Mars into a paradise...

This will happen in dozens of millions of years from now... just imagine... rocks and plants will be around, insects will very likely be around, but humans very likely won't.

Mars has no molten core which means it has no Electromagnetic field and it only has 1/6 of Earths gravity.

It has never supported life and it never will, unless that life is shoved in a sealed hermitic environmemt.

Saturn's moon Titan is the most realistic first outpost for man.

But not until we harness fusion.

I haven't checked on ITER's progress for a while .

Pity. Would have been nice to look down on the Blue Planet.
