I am doing a research report on how to increase the quality of healthcare or make it less expensive.

I think I am going to choose to get rid of the managed care system.

I had a few questions about HMO's. I was wondering if anyone knows how they get paid? Is it a set amount, or based on the number of treatments they can deny?

If anyone has any information about this topic, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
