This is great...

At one point the socialist idiot confuses the Magna Carta with Plato's philosophy..

The guy is all over the place... socialist to republican to Tea Party hater to "I would join the Tea Party in 1776:shock:"

The dialog is pretty familiar to me I suppose :).

Didn't watch the video but I gotta point out that those guys who threw the tea into Boston Harbour were liberals, maybe the first liberals, and their example started a liberal movement in Europe against aristocracy and despotism.

And those original teaparty participants would be disgusted by the billionaire bought and paid for group that uses their name today.

I agree and that's why I never call a progressive "liberal" I call them progressive because I'm a Liberal..

As a libertarian I find the word associated with "progressives" and them calling themselves "liberal" insulting to liberalism when they're nothing more than fascists....Neo-Cons can jump in the boat too... They've turned fascism into an art form as well..

Watch the video people - it is highly amusing...

Well, I suppose if you're a socialist or progressive it will make you feel like you drank a 12-pack and just woke up at a frat party with dicks drawn all over your face...

I find the term "progressive" to have been so bastardized by both sides to essentially have been rendered meaningless.

I've seen George W. Bush and John McCain maligned as "progressives." That, to me, is insane.

Good words. I like words.

Both terms, 'liberal' and 'conservative' have been watered down to the point, nearly, of being unrecognizable.

Both of them (especially "liberal," take that as you will) seem to have been boiled down to meaning "stuff I don't like."

Anyone who believes our Bill of Rights is inadequate or outdated is a progressive...

I suppose a better example would be to say that any person who believes that our Bill of Rights is a "living document" is a tyrant...

You're right yet you call yourself a "liberal" I hope that is in the classical sense.

Yep.....

The Bill of Rights has been a "living document" since its inception. And I say this as someone who is hardcore Firstie.

I got to the part where the communist said every system killed millions of people. Oh god, the stupid is strong in that one.

Depends on how you define it. As far as personal freedoms (speech, drugs, association, prostitution, due process) go, I could be considered "libertarian." As far as economics goes, I am pretty much a Keynesian, although I do recognize that any school of economic thought can be taken too far.

I mostly identify as a "liberal" because I find the current state of American "conservatism" to be basically a dumpster fire.

Give us a ****ing break.

We should play poker sometime. We will play with "living rules". Wont that be fun.

And those original teaparty participants would be disgusted by the billionaire bought and paid for group that uses their name today.

Those original teaparty participants were not called the Tea Party. So no one is using their name today. Gotta do your research.

So there is no connection with the name teaparty and the original participants who threw the tea overboard in Boston? You must be kidding.

That's correct. There is no connection between the Tea Party and the original participants in the Boston Tea Party. There is, however, a connection between that event and the philosophy that formed the Tea Party. Can you guess what that connection is?

I was simply correcting the facts in your insult. If you want to have an acutal discussion about the topic, then post something constructive.

Well, aside from wearing funny costumes, taxation was an issue for both groups.
However, the Boston TPers were protesting taxation without representation.
Today's TPers have representation, they just don't like how their Reps spend the money.
Do I win anything?

That seems to be about right. Doesn't seem so hard that people couldn't figure it out, huh? You win a "like" from me. That's something not many with "liberal" anywhere in their "lean" often get. :D

Yea ive watched a lot of this guys videos, but he also himself seems clueless. He basically thinks Obama is a socialist... So yea.. Cool he is from the USSR and left but he himself is a nut thinking that Obama is a socialist.
