This is one of the funniest lawsuits I've every heard of. Basically, the guy is claiming that Apple - by making devices that allow for free access to the internet - has made it too easy for him to view porn; a problem he views as harmful, and apparently out of his own control... somehow.
Here's the article, which has some amusing analysis of the underlying claims:

Lawyer: Apple Should Protect Me From My Porn Addiction « Above the Law: A Legal Web Site – News, Commentary, and Opinions on Law Firms, Lawyers, Law Schools, Law Suits, Judges and Courts + Career Resources

I put this thread in sexuality rather than in law and order under the assumption that at some point it will devolve into a discussion of the alleged evils of pornography.

Well, it's original. Gotta give him that.

cases like this are why civil court judges should be allowed to smack the idiot in the back of the head with a two by four. Not that i would really allow them that power, but it would be nice to transfer the pain in my head over this stupidity back to the masturbating moron. If Apple was actually responsible for porn it would cost more than actually getting laid.

I want to sue Apple because their products don't download porn fast enough

And this is what our courts have become as far as civil litigation is concerned: Jokes.

It's not lost on me that both of the suits discussed (the guy who couldn't figure out how to download songs....and the one featured about porn) the plaintiffs are lawyers. They are hoping to get a settlement on nuisance value.

Until we start smacking these attorneys with attorneys fees and fines for the other side, we are doomed to continue reading about this kind of **** and wondering why.

That reminds me; I have a question for the lawyers here

Can I sue my right hand?

Ooh! Ooh!

I'll do the case brief:

'I am stupid and childish, but I want Apple Inc. to pay for my arrest of stalking a C&W star".

Anyone who would choose this idiot for any legal reason needs to be shot.

Cripe!

why because it feels like someone else is doing it when you use your left?

What good is a pre-installed filter going to do him? He'll just bypass the filter. Maybe not use the Apple products if you can't help yourself from engaging in an activity you don't want to be engaging in.

That actually does happen from time to time, but I agree some tort reform is a good idea.
