stabbed in the head on a Brooklyn train — after he punched another straphanger who confronted him for
smoking pot in the rush-hour subway car, cops said.
The man was getting stoned around 8:20 a.m. on a Manhattan-bound R train at 77th Street in Bay Ridge when another male rider — later identified as 50-year-old Philip Desilva — told him to stop smoking, according to police.
In turn, he punched Desilva in the face, police said.
Desilva, in turn, allegedly stabbed the pot-smoker in the head, authorities said.
He was busted at the scene and charged with assault, menacing and criminal possession of weapon, police said.
