What a douche.

A Disney spokesperson said in a statement that the issue was not with the guest’s political views but that he repeatedly violated park rules by waving banners. According to the park’s policies, guests are prohibited from organizing demonstrations or speeches, using “any flag, banner or sign for commercial purposes” or inciting a crowd. The policies also state that any item Disney deems “harmful or disruptive” is not permitted.

I wanted to do that on the Malecon, but someone talked me out of it. It's still a tempting idea. No guts, no glory.

This rule has been in effect for both Disney Parks since they opened. Laurene Powell Jobs, Steve's widow, and now controller of the single largest block of shares at Disney recently praised this rule "Children come to Disney for fun, not politics or other opinionated demonstrations." As a mother of three who regularly brought her kids to Disney when they were young, she's right.

No one with children will get away with not enjoying Disney products. Nothing will change for the Disney Parks, which under Walt's administration once prohibited black people, and his personal distaste (an understatement) of Jews.

Remember the Star Wars franchise now belongs to Disney. No one is successfully boycotting Star Wars for any reason, let alone political BS.

In recent years, the Disney Parks have shutdown demonstrations for and against abortion, homosexual civil rights (tho it started openly hiring self outed homosexuals in 1979), anti war demonstrations, religious demonstrations of all sorts including Hare Krishnas. As a privately owned business it has the right to maintain whatever rules that do not infringe on the Civil Rights Laws. Waving banners is not protected by our Civil Rights Laws.

Say Mickey Mouse, the most dangerous export of US culture.
