Man arrested in Waldorf after walking toward baby shower with a rifle, police say

A man who had argued at a baby shower was walking back toward the event in Waldorf with a rifle Saturday when he was arrested, the Charles County sheriff’s office said.

They said an argument broke out around 4 p.m. between two guests at the shower in the 2000 block of Nantucket Drive, and one of the guests was assaulted. The guest left the shower and got a gun from his car A man who had argued at a baby shower was walking back toward the event in Waldorf with a rifle Saturday when he was arrested……

…………authorities were called about a man with a gun near the shower, Rodriguez Lavon Nowlin, Jr., 21, of North Carolina, was arrested, the sheriff’s office said. The sheriff’s office said that after the arrest they found an AR-15 with 27 rounds in it. An AR-15 is a semiautomatic assault rifle. Nowlin was charged with assault and reckless endangerment, the sheriff’s office said……….

What’s wrong with taking an assault rifle to a baby shower……… there could be a “push in robbery” and who’s going to prevent the robbers from stealing all the baby gifts……
……….. and the police are violating the man’s Second Amendment rights without due process of law………. The Second Amendment is there to protect US from the government!”

And one more post promoting pants pooping hysteria.

The guy was assaulted, went and got a gun, then was stopped before he did anything. Sounds to me like everything worked just fine.

anyone see where i was "trying to smear 100million good people"

i addressed the action of one gun owner. it is turtledude who then associates 100 million gun owners with the actions of this one gun owner demonstrating his right to bear arms in an unfortunate manner

By sarcastically proclaiming he was "another responsible gun owner attempting to exercise his unimpeded right to bear arms". I realize you are probably used to dealing with brain dead drones, but thinking people easily see through your ruse, and into your true motivation. ;)

You missed about 100 other crimes to present this and add your hysteria to it. Why?

Was it that fear drive you to try and make a mountain out of a molehill by adding your unstable and emotional comments

What have hoplophobes done to guns?

Hoplophobia is far and away the most dangerous of all phobias, because of its unique nexus to political action. Because sufferers act out their fears in the political arena, it represents a significant and underappreciated threat to the nation.

People with irrational fears of guns express those fears in several ways. They may experience guns as having lives of their own. They think a gun will jump off the dark shelf and attack on its own.

These exaggerations can seem funny to gun owners. Many of us take our friends shooting. We start them with low powered .22 rimfire firearms. These come in every size from child to adult. If they want more, there are mid-power firearm such as the .223. Originally designed to shoot small pests, this rifle throws a light bullet with little recoil. It can fit most adults when outfitted with an adjustable stock and comb.

Perhaps you recognize it, but we’ve just described the dreaded “assault rifle”.. as well as dozens of other firearms we’ve had for a hundred years. The hoplophobe sees them as death-dealing murder machines, though it remains a “girl’s gun” to the rest of us. Unfortunately, the hoplophobia doesn’t end there.

It turns out that the violence they think they are familiar with comes essentially from only one single source — illuminated screens — TV, movies and the Internet. The rest comes from so-called “news” publications. Their lives are functionally devoid of the violence they have been convinced they live mired in. Is “our violent society” largely a fabrication of the mainstream media — outside of isolated incidents, crimes in bad parts of town and video productions? Is it a mass delusion? For too many people reading this the answer unfortunately is yes.
