Some people just don't get it. Officers of the law, the government, have rules to follow including, ICE and CBP agents typically carry official identification (ID) and badges, and they often work in pairs or teams, depending on the specific situation and operational needs.
Regarding Identification:
  • ICE agents carry official badges and credentials, including identification cards with their name, photo, and the department logo.
  • You have the right to request that they show you their badge or ID.
  • It's important to be aware of how to identify a real ICE agent to avoid impostor scams.
  • Federal officers, in general, are required to carry something that identifies them and the agency they belong to.
Regarding Working in Pairs:
  • While not always strictly in pairs, agents often work with another person, particularly when questioning individuals or taking statements.
  • According to the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents, a part of ICE, usually work in pairs, especially during criminal investigations and audits.
  • Working in pairs or teams can be for safety reasons and to provide dual testimony, which can be useful when presenting cases.
  • However, agents are also trained to work alone when necessary.
  • For example, Border Patrol Agents may work alone in remote areas, while horseback and ATV agents typically work in pairs.
Important Considerations:
  • If an ICE agent comes to your home, do not open the door unless they have a judicial search or arrest warrant signed by a judge and naming a person in your residence and/or areas to be searched at your address.
  • You have the right to remain silent and to speak with a lawyer if you are being questioned.

And bear in mind... because they're not an officer everything else stacks on other charges.

Oh, I'm for masks if it's Democrats in charge and it's black masked IRS agents going into white MAGA neighborhoods just for the comedic value of the Republican freak out.
