There are often arguments here and elsewhere where one side seems intent upon simply being the last to say something.
To me, I hope, this difference is clear. See the posts by Presluc on the Evolution creationism thread.
But there are often many other examples. Most are where the subject is of religious charicter.
Why do people do this?
Who are they convincing with such drivel?
Is it anybody other than themselves?
Religious people feel under attack in this country. Everything they believe is being ripped apart. Some is deserved some is not. But, I guess when people are told that everything they hold dear is stupid and childish, they dig in their heels.
There is also the attack on their rights. We can thank PC Progressives for the animosity associated with that, IMO. When you see laws passed that force the religious to do things or say things which they believe conflicts with their religion, like catering gay weddings or accepting abortions or agreeing that god didn't create man, they get defensive and tend to shut out arguments.
I'm not religious. And, I've taken my share of swipes at them. But, I can clearly see that some of the attacks on religious belief and value systems are over the top, especially those attacks which come with the force of law. This won't end well. They have a lot of power, and they will fight back. You may see a result of it in November. Odds are high that we will have a very religious president elected this year.

Hillary is not religious?
She might get some in jail...probably Islam.
Hillary is not religious?
Now it may be a very tiresome, stressful, and time constraining job, but Hillary's POTUS oval office has no reason to be called as "jail."

She might have a room off to the side where she can carry on with an internee but, in won't be in the WH.
There for instance, this here is clearly noise rather than having a say on an argument.

How can this thread have gotten from where it was to Hillary Clinton in just one page?
That Hillary has big problems is a reality. There is no denying it. She will have trouble from here on out. Beating Sanders will be difficult, and beating Rubio may become impossible if he plays his cards right.
Grim unsubstantiated prediction.
I say Hillarey wins.
I agree with DDD.
I think Hillary Clinton will be the Democratic Party nominee...and she will be the winner of the General Election.
I hope she is the winner...but if someone else wins...if a Republican wins...
...I will continue to enjoy a happy, contented life.
I suspect some of the Hillary haters in our country will spend at least 4 years in Hell-on-Earth if she does.
This is true. Some of them will expect the apocalypse... l
Yeah, she can win six straight coin flips again
Very insightful.
Other than that, everyone likes to feel they won the debate. :_

Can you point out which laws have been passed that force a church to perform weddings? Or accept abortion? There is also the attack on their rights.
