I would agree with both proposals, but also say that voting centers should be staffed 24/7 for at least a couple of weeks before an election to allow people with tough schedules their chance to vote as well.New poll has huge numbers agreeing that early voting should be easier and ID should be shown when voting.

mail-in voting takes care of that.I would agree with both proposals, but also say that voting centers should be staffed 24/7 for at least a couple of weeks before an election to allow people with tough schedules their chance to vote as well.
I like these two also. But, I would like to see less (to almost no) voting by mail and definitely procedures (including these two) remain at the state level. Then, in the case where voting by mail occurs, I very much support adding an ID number (comparable to showing ID when voting in person) so there is a better verification than a signature match.New poll has huge numbers agreeing that early voting should be easier and ID should be shown when voting.

One person, one vote, must be registered and must provide proof of ID when they submit their ballot. It has to be verifiable. Anyone who doesn't want that wants to be able to cheat.mail-in voting takes care of that.

That should play well in States like Colorado and Oregon that enjoy full mail in voting with literally zero fraudI would like to see less (to almost no) voting by mail
I support early voting and vote by mail. The hours long line around the building is a poll tax for many of us.

At this point, do you really NOT know how mail-in voting works? Each mail-in ballot has a bar code.I like these two also. why would you oppose voting by mail? There are millions of voters in this country and not enough poll places to accommodate all of them. We want everyone who can vote, to vote. I don't care if you are Republican, Democrat, Independent, Constitution, Socialist or the Alien Pizza political party...if you can vote, you should.I like these two also. mail in voting in Colorado is very convenient. They send out ballots to registered voters addresses, but as you pointed out everything has to match. The signature match is pretty thorough in CO. My daughter's ballot was questioned. She had to fill out a different signature form, and even got a call from the DA's office to confirm
the the original signature was hers.
my concern with this is that we deny passports to certain citizens....and that national ID could fall in step with that as well...for instance owing taxes, or having a criminal record or owing child support...those aren't good reasons to deny the right to vote. There has never been a better time for our two major political parties to institute a national ID card. We are already close to it with our social security system identification. Modern tech should make such identification difficult to counterfeit.
Regards, stay safe 'n well.
