Well the analytics certainly didn't work out last night. Not sure what the hell the Rays were doing last night.. Snell was cruising, pitch count in the 70's and they pull him? Snell wasn't going to pitch again this year...They saving him for next year?

Tommy Lasorda is looking down up from above and saying good job Dave Roberts.
 
Even the analytics said leave him in when you looked at Snell's third time through the line up and Mooky's third time.

The only analytics Cash used is the "common wisdom" that says you're worse off letting the pitcher go through the line up a third time. A perfect example of "common wisdom" being wrong.

Snell was absolutely dealing. He had no-hit stuff. Silly Rays.

Good teams take advantage of mistakes. Thats what the Dodgers did against both the Braves and Rays. They pounce on mistakes and rip your heart out. Stone Cold Killers.

White Sox hire Tony La Russa as new manager

A ton of managerial/front office experience and good with sabermetrics, I just wonder if LaRussa (76) can endure a 160 game season.

The CWS are a very young team. LaRussa (bilingual) has not managed since 2011.

LaRussa and CWS owner Jerry Reinsdorf have remained very close since Tony managed the Sox (1979-1987).

This is not a GM hire. Strange since Reinsdorf had said he'd never hire LaRussa again because it was too painful to fire him.

Anyway not sure what the hell the White Sox are thinking... 76 YO, out of managing for 9 years? Oh my...

White Sox manager Tony La Russa was charged with driving under the influence in Arizona after he allegedly ran his car into a curb in February, according to court records obtained by ESPN. It is the second known drunken driving arrest for La Russa.
