I see you've discovered...Yes wouldnt it be great if the people who lived there first just did what they were supposed to and made shops to serve their new ecenomic betters, Israel should only turn the power back on and let food through if they agree to serve israel in some helpful way.
I think this would foster great relations, maby if the Paletinians were lucky they could clean some of israels streets! that would be nice, but they shouldnt get paied untill they earned enough to pay back for all the terrorism they commited in the name of their intrinsicly evil god, and they should be forced to renounce Islam, because it only seems to be making terrorists these days.
israel has nukes too, I think they should really get on that, think how many terrorists you could kill with jsut one nuke! loads, I've always said the best way to fight terror is wiht guns and bombs etc, THESE SAVAGES ONLY UNDERSTAND WAR SO GIVE IT TO THEM.
Vader-vision!
Whereas people like you create threats where there weren't any.
And the "Palestinian terrorist activity" is a direct result of Israel occupying land that was taken in a war.
Not land taken in a war. There are laws against that.
That's like Hitler saying the Jews are actively trying to exterminate Nazis.
More slander. Show me the post where I indicated such.
Like you never played army when you were a kid.
Punishing innocent men, women and children for the actions of a few is immoral and wrong.
They might breathe YOUR air, which is far more toxic.
The same could be said for Israel.

And you don't think Iran is aware of AIPAC's lobbying to Congress to authorize a military strike? This position that Israel is the passive one and arab states are the only aggressor's is horse****!
Iran --- by proxy through Hizballah.
But of course...The UN says a lot of other things, too:
List of United Nations resolutions concerning Israel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
But of course...
This is the same UN with a huge Muslim voting block since the mid 60s.
This is the same UN that withdrew its forces from the Sinai in 1967.
This is the same UN that did nothing about the genocide in Cambodia.
This is the same UN that did nothing about the genocide in Bosnia.
This is the same UN that skimmed money from Iraq oil sanctions.
This is the same UN that did nothing about the genocide in Rwanda.
This is the same UN whose troops raped young girls in Africa.
This is the same UN that has done little about the genocide in Darfur.
This is the same UN that cannot resolve Iranian NPT violations.
This is the same UN that does nothing about Somali piracy on the high seas.
This is the same UN that is very quiet about human trafficing (sex-slavery).
This is the same UN that is silent about human rights abuses in China.
This is the same UN that says nothing about servitude (slavery) in India.
This is the same UN that ignored Russian atrocities in Chechnya.
This is the same UN that ignores child slavery in Haiti.
This is the same UN that appoints an oppressive Arab regime to chair the UN Committee on Human Rights.
This just scratches the surface. Yes indeedy. The wonderful UN.
Oh I know that the UN is not neutral, and that there are many Arab countries that systematically vote against Israel. But then the poster who first quoted the UN should have know that too.
And you are right about the UN, it has a severe bias. However it is also biased on the other side, as both Europe and the USA use to vote in favor of Israel, and the USA regularly use their veto to stop anti-Israel propositions.

Re: the settlement as being 'unlawful', if the US and Israeli supreme court cannot bring themselves to describe the settlements as lawful then I think the legal position should be clear for all to see. Once the blinkers are removed of course.
All true statements.Permanent settlements in terrorities classified as belligerant occupation are unlawful.
Annexing territory from another state without a properly executed treaty providing for a territory transfer is unlawful.
However, the terror activities Arabs have used for decades against Israel is unlawful.
Israel's actions to defend itself IS lawful under Article 51 of the UN Charter.
I was referring to Israel's rights under Article 51 of the UN Charter, not the subsequent actions (or inactions) of its composite bodies.
considering that Israel ignores the international community, the UN, the USA, the European Union and Russia's calls for ceasefire in Gaza, it's a bit strange to invoke the UN to justify the raids in Gaza.
And anyway you are off topic: this article has nothing to do with the illegal Israeli colonies.
And I have acknowleged that they are illegal. They should be dismantled. However, we already know what has happened since those in Gaza were dismantled. The terrorists upped the attacks on Israel.
It was Hamas, NOT Israel who broke the cease fire in Gaza. Let's be clear on this.
Are you talking about these? There are still many illegal colonies, even if Israel has made efforts. And that's only a part of the problem. There is also the security fence (that annexes even more Palestinian territory), pogroms against Palestinian farmers, numerous Palestinian civilian who die as "collateral damage", the blocus, the checkpoints...I totally disagree and fully condemn the launching of rockets by the Hamas, but it is clear that the Hamas is not the only responsible for the war.

I think Israel should bring all their citizens back to west of the Green Line. Then, any rockets launched after that, is clearly an act of aggression by the Palestinian state.Israel has shown its good will. Where is Hamas's? Or, does Israel have to 100% unilaterally give everything up before the Palestinians have to do anything?

First, Palestinians should stop launching rockets immediatly. We both agree on that.
But you can't expect them to do so as long as there is a military blockade, house demolitions ( House demolition in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ), a security fence that has huge negative effects on civilians ( Israeli West Bank barrier - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ) ...
Israel made efforts but a lot has to be done

Israel needs to end the occupation. Period. The illegal settlements and apartheid wall are major causes of the problem. There is only one solution in regards to an "occupation", and that is to end it. They need to do this irregardless of what the Palestinian's do. But I'll tell you this, if they do do this, and they still get rockets, it's hard to believe that anyone would be on the side of the Palestinians. I know I wouldn't. It would be all on Palestine at that point. They would be considered the aggressors. Why should Israel unilaterally surrender every point before the Palestinians show even one iota of good will? The Israelis have already withdrawn from Gaza, and all that resulted in was the creation of a base in Gaza to use against Israel. Israel has a right to know that the West Bank won't become a similar base before they completely withdraw from it.
