Ouch, that hurt

[Democrats] also have a greatly exaggerated view of the danger of COVID to and the mortality rate among children, all of which explains why today the states with the highest share of schools that are still closed are all blue states," Maher lamented. "So if the right-wing media bubble has to own things like climate change denial, shouldn't liberal media have to answer for 'How did your audience wind up believing such bunch of crap about COVID?'"

This is actually one of the things I don’t like about Fox. They always report on something Bill Maher says if he knocks lefties, like Maher somehow suddenly has all this credibility. Is Maher someone whose opinion we should care about or not? To me he’s not.

Maher's been a bit of an idiot with regard to COVID all along.
I like the fact that he isn't politically correct but he's never been very smart about the pandemic except to say that Trump botched his response to it.
But I'll just continue to listen to Fauci if I want advice on stuff like opening schools.
And by the way, the best thing we could have done for schools, which we DIDN'T in most cases, would have been to vaccinate ALL school employees.

No one has ever had a convincing explanation as to why we didn't.
