Maddow slams DeMint's claim that children do better with straight parents

She cited comments made by Justice Kennedy that, although compelling, do not in any way suggest that children are just as well off with gay parents as straight parents. To my knowledge there has been no real research on this subject to date.

Oh there has been, just not always accepted by everyone. Plenty of studies and questionnaires. Google it.

Though it does beg the question- if there have been no studies on the subject to date... where do guys like Scalia and DeMint get their ahhhhh ok, we will call them facts for the sake of argument.

I think some will claim damn near anything to try and stop progress.

Where do you get your "fact" that progress is being made without studies to prove it?

The progress is gay couples getting to adopt children... as staunch 'conservatives' are fond of saying- progress isn't always 'good' as they interpret good.

The roadblock is the social 'conservative' blanket claim that gay families are somehow poorer at parenting- with no real studies to back them up. It is the same for gays as straights- on a case by case basis... :peace

Just message CC, he'll post all the studies which have been peer reviewed for you to review. He has them pasted in his files, much easier for him to post them. They all come to the conclusion that the gender of the parents does not matter.

The conservatives here think that there's no such study showing that gay parenthood is no worse than hetero parenthood...but none of them, it seems, have the gumption to spend five seconds to use this little thing called "Google" to look it up.

So to make things even easier for them, here's one such study.

Oh, look kiddies! It's one of the couple dozen people who watches her!

anyone in law enforcement can tell you that two parents-straight gay or ambiguous are better than one parent-gay, straight, or undecided.

Why law enforcement?
