Does this explain the tea party's racist rhetoric?

Intelligent people as racist as others, study finds

Study finds:

“High-abil*ity whites are less likely to re*port prej*u*diced at*ti*tudes and more likely to say they sup*port ra*cial in*tegra*t*ion in prin*ci*ple,” said Geof*frey Wodtke, a doc*tor*al can*di*date in so*ci*ol*o*gy. “But they are no more likely than lower-abil*ity whites to sup*port open hous*ing laws and are less likely to sup*port school bus*ing and af*firm*a*tive ac*tion pro*grams.”

Then only thing that explains racist rhetoric is racist rhetoric.

I lost count long ago of otherwise highly intelligent people who clung to this backward ****. Racism is ignorance and attitude, not intellect. We could all stand to unburden ourselves of these false dichotomies. They're barely even cogent, let alone conscionable. That all those who cleave to a racist perspective are somehow 'stupid', while those who openly eschew it are historical geniuses in the same mould as Da Vinci.

Please.

Especially when we have sexism, nationalism, communism, socialism, obstructionism and all the other 'isms' to get us through. ;)

It's just another way to divide us into the politically correct categories and attempt to keep us there..

Yeah, the racism doesn't exist meme. Another form of racism propounded by the tea party.

You didn't read the study, did you? You never will.

Problem with this thought: those with intellectual disabilities or any disability that impacts verbal intelligence would thus be assumed to be blurting racists while the average person may be a racist, but is quiet. Linking them with having privilege would likewise run into complications.

Is this another brain teaser or can we come to the conclusion that this 'study' was hokum?

I just don't believe that, in the long run, these agenda-laden games are productive. They can only prolong the issues on the table. We should deal with prejudice as it stands, not lose focus by attempting to attribute personal flaws to those we'd like to scapegoat.

Sorry but the OP has us all pre-destined. I am a TPer thus, a racist.

It was presented as a question. I've seen equally contentious threads aimed at Liberals.

I've seen the same from this OP many times.

Fact is his fascination with the Tea Party's supposed racism has become abrasive and annoying. It's nothing but a talking point placed there by our current occupants in DC to overshadow the incompetence and fraud.

Its the modus operandi for liberals. If they see someone or a group as a threat they do what ever they can to marginalize and discredit that person or group and their ace in the hole to do so is the race card
Its has become so tiresome and old

I don't think it would suffice as a substantive smokescreen. There looks to be **** slinging from both sides of the fence.

It's usually the case that there's no smoke without fire. If such a card can be played, then it's the responsibility of those in opposition to make their case. The public vote is up for grabs. No one would play the witchcraft card.

its a false narrative based on lies. you can find racism in every group every society every community left and right. you get any group together of a hundred or more one or two will be racist. i don't care what group it is. what liberals will do is hunt out that one or two racist then create a false narrative the whole group is racist.

Rules for Radicals:

“Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have."
“Never go outside the expertise of your people.”
“Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.”
“Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.”
“Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”
“A good tactic is one your people enjoy.”
“A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.”
“Keep the pressure on. Never let up.”
“The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.”
"The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition."
“If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.”
“The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.”
“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”
