Looks like there was a LOT OF LYING going on

None of this exonerates Trump.

Oh, look! When did random Twitter crap become a viable source?

Oh, look! When did random Twitter crap become a viable source?
Probably around the same time anonymous sources for the Atlantic did.

Trump knew the truth and chose to lie. That's what happened.

Even the die hard Trumpsters are a little confused at this point. They know he's never lied before, so this is something new for them. There is a perfectly reasonable explanation as to how this could have happened, and as soon as they figure it out and get their stories straight they'll let us know.

Trump knew the truth and chose to lie. That's what happened.

And anybody paying 10 minutes attention knew what the truth was and chose to ignore it....or not.

He doesn't NEED exoneration - he was saying what his experts were briefing him.

Yeah, Trust your TDS, don't let your lying' eyes mislead you.

He doesn't NEED exoneration - he was saying what his experts were briefing him.

He was intentionally lying to the American people by downplaying the dangers of a global pandemic because he thought it would hurt him in an election year. The GOP did the same. Some of his supporters did as well, but many simply trusted their president to tell them the truth. This cost some of them their lives and the lives of their loved ones.

Yes, I am sure all the experts were telling him that injecting and drinking bleach will help fight the Virus.

Yeah, Trust your TDS, don't let your lying' eyes mislead you.

Yes.. its always important to point out that its Okay if our elected president lies...

As long as you can find a media article that is also misleading.

A memo from Peter Navarro is the most direct warning known to have circulated at a key moment among Trump's top administration officials. In a memo in late January, Peter Navarro warned Trump that the coronavirus crisis could cost the United States trillions of dollars and put millions of Americans at risk of illness or death.

“The lack of immune protection or an existing cure or vaccine would leave Americans defenseless in the case of a full-blown coronavirus outbreak on U.S. soil,” Navarro’s memo said. “This lack of protection elevates the risk of the coronavirus evolving into a full-blown pandemic, imperiling the lives of millions of Americans.”

Despite that, Trump went on to have eight (8) more rallies. January 28, the same day as the Navarro memo, January 30, February 10, February 19, February, 20, February 21, February 28 and March 2.

Shouldn't the American people expect the president to be doing, you know-- 'president stuff' instead of running around during a crisis having his ego stroked with rallies that were endangering many lives? He knew very well how it was spread, 'through the air' and that it was 'deadly stuff'. He knew he was putting people's lives at risk.

Uhhhhh no. That's the whole point.

"His" experts were telling him that COVID-19 was ""more deadly than even your strenuous flus," and "This is deadly stuff," that it is "easily transmissible," that it could get as bad as the 1918 flu, and that COVID-19 was the "biggest national security threat" of his presidency.

Instead of informing Americans of the risks, and telling them to take precautions, he deliberately did the opposite. Instead, as he told Woodward "I wanted to always play it down."

He lied to you. His lies put you, your family, your friends, pretty much everyone you meet on a daily basis at risk.

The only way that he doesn't need to be "exonerated" is that he can't be exonerated. He lied and manipulated, and in doing so cost American lives. There's no coming back from that, especially for someone who categorically refuses to genuinely apologize for any wrongdoing.

Oh, by the way, he also bragged to Woodward -- a journalist -- on the record -- that the US has a new nuclear weapons system that "Putin and Xi have never heard about before." WTF.

He doesn't NEED exoneration - he was saying what his experts were briefing him.

Trump was CONTRADICTED from the very beginning by his experts, often in real time. He wasn't listening to them. They weren't telling him not to wear a mask. They weren't telling him it goes away when the weather warms up. They weren't telling him the schools have to open. They weren't telling him children were immune. Trump doesn't listen to experts. He only listens to people who tell him how brilliant he is. And if somebody tells him something he does not want to hear, they are reprimanded, dismissed or fired. He cannot even admit to taking advice - from anyone.

That's not what they say. They also say they LEARNED as the went on.

Sorry, I'm going with what Fauci is saying, since he was there and you weren't.

And by "misleading" you mean disagreeing with your perspective of things; we get that.

Well..YOU were the one that posted up the media articles...

He doesn't NEED exoneration - he was saying what his experts were briefing him.

That's not what his national security advisor is saying.

Trump, unfortunately, did not and continues to downplay the pandemic to this day and for cynical political expediency, nothing more, nothing less. Count the number of ****s he doesn't give about you or the rest of America.

He doesn't NEED exoneration - he was saying what his experts were briefing him.

Sorry, he's the big cheese. The responsibility is his.
