When I lived out in CA Sen Yee was public enemy #1 among the 2A groups. He went after guns with the help of his close friend then AG Harris, like bull in the China shop.

But in typical Democrat corruption fashion he was gun running on the side.

Seems he moved to the Bay Area after being locked up.

The 71-year-old Yee was sentenced in 2016 to five years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to engage in racketeering.

Disgraced former California Sen. Leland Yee is out of prison and living in a Sacramento halfway house.

Yee, 71, was sentenced in 2016 to five years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to engage in racketeering.

The former senator was convicted of soliciting and accepting bribes in exchange for providing help from Sacramento and conspiring to import weapons and ammunition into the United States.

It's interesting the right will vote for a paedophile who is corrupt to the core, and look for the odd bad apple to excuse it.

It's also interesting that no one in the USA can read the constitution. You don't have a 'right to bear arms'. The right that did exist is irrelevant now

Why can't both sides just admit that sometimes people do bad and illegal things and it has nothing to do with ideology at times? Sometimes a bad person is a bad person. Not always, but sometimes.

yes, I agree you can find bad people in each group. But only one side defines itself by evil

Oh, the partisanship. At the individual level, people are both sides are generally not evil. We can go back and forth and debate what concentrations of evil there are on both sides. For instance, I estimate that there are over 119 million Republicans and over 131 million Democrats (based on 2020's numbers). Yet many look at the mere hundreds of people who invaded the capital and conclude that all 119 million Republicans, many of whom are not aligned specifically with Trump, are all evil? The subset of people who rushed the capital building are, at the very least, what one might call "illiberal" and "part of the cult of Trump," but to say all 119 million Republicans approve of these actions is just factually incorrect and wrong. If you're referring to the recent abortion overturn, you have three Republicans in the Senate who are pro-choice.

That's like me saying that all 131 million Democrats are all socialists because Bernie Sanders exists, or that they all want abortions. It's a logical fallacy. Very few Democratic women (When compared to the 131 million total number) actually get abortions to begin with. And most Democrats did not think Bernie could win the election in 2020 (it was different in 2016).
