Those structures pictured are "moral" border physical barriers (aka secure fence) - they are short, easily scaled and/or have "morality" gaps in them. They cost plenty to build and maintain (creating jobs) yet allow thousands per day to enter keeping CBP agents busy rounding some of them up before releasing many of them if they have been taught a few, legally required, magic words.

Hmm...actually,

Drug Cartels and M13 would love a wall, so they can keep their immigrant smuggling operations going, and up the price, given the fact that they'll have to use shovels, ladders, or boats to get people around your precious wall.

The rapists and the sex trafficers are also excited by this wall, as their victims are less likely to escape now - the wall will be excellent for keeping low threat individuals and refugees out, so their job just got easier.

Trump also loves the wall.

And large parts of those miles are near impossible to put a wall up. Not saying there are not parts that need a wall... there are gaps, especially in Texas of all places, but the funds for those projects have already been approved and since we are in the Trump administration at the moment.. the Trump administration has done nothing about it.

I dont disagree.. but the money for a lot of this has already been given. Just not a lot of work being done on it for some reason and this goes back decades. I saw in an article about this whole mess, that in Texas there was a wall, that had not one, but 2 gaps almost next to each other? Why? is it because the wall made a right hand turn or something?

Instead people like Bush, put in a 56 million dollar 3 mile fence in a remote national park in California, despite the border police and experts saying it was a waste of money.

Time and time again we see hair brain politically motivated bull**** (especially from the GOP) projects instead of a coordinated solution to this and many problems.

Take Texas, the state with the largest border to Mexico, but also the state with the least amount of walls relative to the length of the border. Why? Oh you know... NATURE.. they got this thing call the Rio Grande River.. wanna build a wall there? You know the cost and environmental consequences of that?

Or take Texas also.. the parts they do have border walls, it is often (like by San Diego) built on freaking sand or ground that is easy to dig.. hello?

Point is, this whole border wall mess is a classic example of American incompetence and yes it sounds "anti-American" and all that coming from an European, but it is fact. Go look at D-Day and the Mulberry Harbour catastrophe and you will understand what I mean.

5.7 billion dollars Trump wants wont do jack **** and it will be wasted on prototypes and hookers before any cent is put into plugging the holes in the wall. How do I know this? I know Trump, and the fact that he has yet to present any plan what so ever for the 5 billion.. clearly shows that not only is he incompetent, but he leads an incompetent administration.

And finally, we are back to where 70+% of all illegals come from... overstaying their visa and most of those are freaking Canadians, not Mexicans!!! So when do you want a wall on the Canadian border?
